Comparing this one to the other characters placed at your site, I can say it's OK and fits the style pretty well (although the others are less "colorful"). Look at your first post in that thread and see how much you improved. I like it!

Actually, there's a nice color scheme but you've forgotten about adding some to the palette.

Oh, and good luck with the IJ game! I'm looking foward to play it!

Uh! My eyes hurt! Blue text on a red background. :-

One piece of advice. Try to match colors better.

Nice, Saber but as I now noticed, you're using TOO MANY colours! Reduce their number to the essential ones.

Quote from: SaberteethSkurwy, I'll try. You see, we'll using 16bit graphics and I want the craracters to look good to the eye, you know what I mean?
As you want but they will be harder to animate. Anyway, using a few colors instead of using a bunch of them is more challenging ;).

You should try a less dark colour for the mouth.
Em, that's his moustache, like hitlers. Kinda a wannabe Hitler or something ;)

Hmpf... It doesn't look like an authentic nazi poster to be honest. I would put here a link with some resources, but I don't know if others would want them too. Anyway, it's quite easy to find them in the Internet. Don't get me wrong but messing with such feelings isn't a good way to win a competition. If you had wanted to portrait hitler as a blood-lusting (is that a correct word?) monster, you should have thought of something like that:

That's scary!

I like these backgrounds. Maybe they are FAR from ideal but anyway, I like their cartoon spirit. Good pallette set BTW. That reminds me of my favourite, "edgy" style. Only the second pic really NEEDS some work for sure.

However, I don't like the sprites. Why did you place it at such a big blue background?

Good luck!

Erm... sorry for gravediggin' and offtopicing (it's NOT an movie and it DOESN'T portait Polish culture properly) and all, but...

http://fakty.interia.pl/swiat/news?inf=732172 (click "odtwórz" or "zobacz reklamę!" to play this s*it)

Okay, it's quite funny, but the very part of Polish community don't approbate such a behaviour. And so do I... I don't know what to think, I'm pissed off. It's really annoying when a country where you were born and its people are said to be like that. It wasn't my choice but I don't feel shame for this reason.

No.

QuoteI'm still stuck with the perspective, I don't get how yo all do it with that vanishing point and stuff.
Have you ever heard of, for example, Google?

QuoteAnyway tell me what you think of it , please. ;D
It isn't done yet.

I think that perspective is pretty good. ;D
Not exactly. I'd even say there's NO perspective.

Corey, isn't it rather green LEATHER texture?

Grass needs a texture (of which Corey spoke) but -for better results- you should add some (grass) brushes in random places. I saw the tutorial somewhere on board here, but I can't tell you if it still exist or whether the link works. Search. Relief can become more interesing if you put some hills/downhills and trees here and there. Sampling a forest tile and using it as a brush should save you some time.

PS: Is that a MAGS game?

Voltaire?

Contrary to popular belief, apparently not. But of course, regardless of who said it, that shouldn't stop others from being able to echo the sentiment. ;)

Well, he also said than the force of habit is more powerful than truth. Something like that, I dunno how it sounds in English. ;)

Dude I can't draw an extra page a week (at least not with the attention a page deserves) for this contest. The only reason I say I am willing to keep this up and I'm pretty confident in can be of satisfactory quality is because I draw these comics anyway for work.
Okay, I understand.

Hmm...

So if you decide to put there only your works, do it when-you-feel-like-it.
#139
Heh, heh. For protection? Let's say I keep this sax-like baby for the same reason ;).

At first I thought it's about an imbued knife which kills by itself or something magical. The last frame suggested that, (at least I got it in that way).

1. Put YOUR works here, I want to see more. Without brown-nosing, they're just great.

2. Hmm... maybe when the compo is over, the winner shall PM you and tell (or better show, at least a messy concept sketch) what he-or-she would want to place at the next page, and then you would draw it for another jam. I don't have any better ideas for the while.

Of course I hope it will be continued.

Whoops! I've started to think about making a game inspired by GameBoy version of Castlevania, with the background art in 4-color palette (GameBoy-like). But don't worry, I won't finish it like all my projects so far ;).

Anyway, I'm looking foward to play your version of MI. It looks great!
