Pretty good style, I must try it in practice!

Hey! Great theme and nice entries so far! I already have an idea, so maybe tommorow I'll put something here. . .

After all I agree, my forest doesn't look too enchanted (of course If you mean magic, spells and fairies). I just must have misunderstood the rules -- my fault.

Anyway, my vote goes to Ivy -- really atmospheric and enchanted picture, it also reminds me a bit of Loom.

Hmm, Stefano... I like your idea of making those animated bugs, but I (and probably majority of AGSers, as I see) just don't know how to do that (;)) or don't have enough time to finish it. Holidays're quickly approaching and I'm trying the best I can to ace everything in school.

Anyway, it's disappointing -- only one participant has declared his entry and probably no one will declare its own yet. But hey, I like Zooty's bug, so afterall it's not so bad! ;)

Cheers!

Hey, an old and clear InCreator's tutorial (http://www.hot.ee/increator/draw.htm) should be perfect for that type of background. And as I once said, don't be afraid of using some more complex paint programs, such as Adobe Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro. Of course you can do everything in MS Paint, but believe me -- you're only wasting your time. Of course it isn't so bad if we're talking about some pixel sketches, but things like the clouds or some shading / lighting effects shouldn't be done in Paint (I just hate that terrible spray noise!).

Again, good luck! ;)

Huh... it seems to me you've just started playing with AGS and the graphic interfaces not long ago. I don't want to be mean, but you know... everyone had already seen scads of Sierra-ripped GUI:s, so try to be a little more original and think up something uncommon, even on the Sierra GUI's layout. Hope you know of what I'm talking.

Good luck anyway! ;)

what do you think can be done to it, to make it look better?

I was thinking of some details.

Quote"Gry przygodowe nie muszą czasem ociekać mega śliczną grafiką, ważne żeby miały klimat. Pobierzcie i oceńcie, co sądzicie o tym produkcie."

Hah... it isn't well-written in Polish and has terrible construction mistakes. Probably this's the reason why you had some troubles with translating it.

Anyway, I'm really poor when it comes to translating *to* English, but if you want...
"Adventure games don't need to be graphic masterpieces, an atmosphere is the most important... or ...but more important thing is an atmosphere...".

Yes, your translation is quite good, but the last line: "Pobierzcie i oceńcie, co sądzicie o tym produkcie." should be: "Download and rate! What do you think of this product?". ;)

And the correct Polish version: "Gry przygodowe nie muszą być graficznymi arcydziełami, najważniejszy jest przecież klimat. Pobierz i sam oceń. (Co sądzisz o tym produkcie?)".

Online Polish-English dictionary: http://www.dict.pl/plen
.

Hope it helps!

Certainly you have a lot of work with that GUI sprite... I would recommend you a better paint program, try searching here: http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/yabb/index.php?topic=5644. Hmpf...

Not bad, Lionheart. These paintovers shall be helpful for you, but I would improve yet one thing.

It's just a detail, but his left leg seems to be a bit too far away from overall / looks twisted or something. Anyway, it's only one pixel, but... you know. ;)

BTW, great stuff, der.uwe!

NOT AN ENTRY!

The only problem is I used 256 colors. Perhaps we can bend the rules? ;)

Not a problem. Just decrease colour limit to 40 in some graphic program (e.g. Paint Shop Pro). I've done it for you:

(40 colours)

You probably won't see any bigger difference. ;)

Skruwy, a rubber tree is a real tree from which you can get liquid latex which you make rubber from, that's why it's called a "rubber tree". By the way, the site wasn't very helpful for getting my object better (I beg my pardon for criticing people again but I had to say this).

Take it easy Mats, it was only a joke. :)

Seriously, you probably meant something, which in Polish is called "kauczukowiec", "drzewo kauczukowe" (kauczuk = rubber ~ latex) and Hevea brasilensis as well.

Hope it'll be useful.

Huh... a rubber tree? What the hell is that? At first I thought you meant a birch, but it's rather different.

Anyway, try typing "rubber tree" line in the Google browser and check out the first result: http://www.rubbertree.org/. ;)

Hi, great plugin I must say!

Does it always works with both snow and rain, or can you choose between rain and snow? Let's say I want only the rain, but have foggiest idea about scripting. What should I do? ;)

Hope you'll have a chance to see. :)

Quote from: SpacePirateCaine on Fri 10/06/2005 18:11:32For a two-hour throwaway piece, I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out. He was supposed to be sitting on the edge of the bed in the last panel, but I messed up in the inking process, so he ends up not looking like so much of a necrophiliac... Oh well. Hope y'all like it.

It seems that only you played for keeps. The theme is truly abhorrent and you should win this time! It's great!

Yes, the last panel is quite illegible, but I think everyone will catch the sense.
