Heh.. heh... I didn't see that before. But hey, it's better than mine! :(

;)

Well, we will live, we will see...

Maybe it's not the best exapmle, but I haven't anything better at hand. Certainly she's tough and sexy: ;)

I'm thinking of the correct woman's body proportions.

Huh... I'm too young to take care of politics, so I don't have a clear opinion about EU Constitution.

Anyway...

Quote from: BorisZ on Wed 01/06/2005 19:22:12A: Most European countries that accepted Euro as it's currency have their market prices doubled (for instance Germany has changed the pricecs from 1 DEM to 1 E- before change, DEM was about 1/2 of Euro).

Pack of ciggles goes as an example: In Poland you can buy it to the tune of around 5 złotych (on average) ~ 1,2 E. The European prices are higher of course, so after a few years we'll pay a price around 12 złotych ~ 3 E for a pack. Where's the point? I doubt, that the average wages 'll increase so much. So everything 'll be just expensive.

I were in Italy last month and I took the amount of 100 E for a week (+/-) ~ 400 złotych. I must say, that these 10 E for a day (some of that 100 E went for gasoline, some tickets etc.) is -certainly- too little to "live fine". For 400 złotych in Poland you can buy, for example a quite good cellphone, 100 liters of gasoline or some hardware, such as a printer.

A sandwich at gas-stations in Italy costs ~ 3 E. In Poland it's 12 złotych - a quite good dinner. ;)

Quote from: Pablo on Wed 01/06/2005 16:19:37Also your problem is kinda tricky for me.

Dammit! :) To put it simple:

I need to draw that as a 3d room with a correct perspective.

Tip for Jade: Hey, we already 've a "Tutorials" thread on Critics Longue board. I'm sure you'll find something interesing there.
#307
Good idea with this thread, Andail.

Ok, I also have a problem, this time I need some perspective issues. I can't explain it by words (due to my poor English*), so I've drawn a schematic picture with a simple room on it and the one reference point. That window and the cube no. 1 were easy to draw, but when I had started drawing next cube with -probably- another perspective point, the trouble appeared.

So let's face it... ;)

The cube no. 1 is parallel to no. 2, the same for the edges. The "top view" box illustrates the relations between both cubes and room's walls. The question is following: how to draw the cube no. 2?

Hope it's clear to you.

*One of the reasons, why I've decided to sing-in and join this community is to improving my English skills, so... If you have a time and alacrity, please correct my utterances (as quotes, or post-edits), where it's necessary. I wish you do that with every post, that I will write, but it's probably impossible. :(

Anyway, I don't want impose this upon you, so I count only on your good will. C ya!

Ok, that 's my very first entry for the Photoshop Contest (precisely, I've done it in Paint Shop Pro, but who cares?).

At first I wouldn't want to enter, but when I've been searching the sites with those cool horrors posters, listed by ProgZmax, I've decided to make a paintover of this one:

Original picture:
http://www.geocities.com/arcanusmysterii/ags/The-Amazing-Colossal-Man.jpg

Hmm... doesn't that reminds you of something? ... Yes! Dave, you 've CJ at yours, so...

My edit:

Warning! It contains explicit nudity!

Sorry, Eric! ;)

PS: Have you noticed that every monster at all of those old posters always carries a woman?
#309
Hey JudgeDeadd! That 's quite good work, but it doesn't look as an old 1940's poster.

PS: Nie to, żebym się czepiał, ale twój opis pod awatarem jest głupi.

I like ProgZmax's paintover. The character (especially his face) looks more realistic and he just have his unique personage, whist that guy at your image, The_Question seems yet incomplete and looks a little... silly (as you said before). Try to make his face more serious and that 's probably all, that you need now. You know what I mean...

Anyway, it's your style and only my opinion.
Good luck! :)

Ok, my attempt here.

This is Max, the main character of "Sanitarium" game, drawn as a EGA sprite.

Everything done in MS Paint, pixel-by-pixel in the classic 16 colours palette (8 in use).

Hope you like it! ;)

Thanx. On the other hand, some paintings styles can be a bit different than a style of the proper image. But yes, sometimes it looks strange. Anyway, it's a decision of the creator. :)

Yes, that's right, Boris. :)

Good boss paint-over, Redrum. I've tried to make my own, but the result probably won't fit the style of the whole picture. Anyway, take a look:

2x:

It's a quick-made scrap, but maybe 'll be useful ;)
#315
Wow! Nice background, but I've done that small paint-over when I had some free time:

I've just changed the lightning, added some details to all the monitors, changed the door a bit and added a switch.

If you don't like it, just ignore it. Anyway, hope it'll be useful.
#316
Okay, now it works fine! Nice tune, by the way. ;)
#317
Hey RyRayer, I can't download your piece. I've tried to do that under the standard Explorer ("save target as..."), but I don't want to download a html file. NetAnts downloads only a 2KB version. What's wrong?
#318
Thanks a lot, Nihilyst. I've striven as best I can and I'm glad you like it.

Yes, I have it in the high resolution, http://geocities.com/arcanusmysterii/ags/forestandplains_hires.jpg. It's *a bit* different version, but the difference lies in some small details only.

Greets!
#319
Uh... I used my old pencil sketch and coloured it (53479 colours, as counted ;)) in Paint Shop Pro 7. That took me a whole day of work, but the result is pretty cool I think. Ok, but what's your opinion? Some c&c would be pleased.

Forest and plains. Just an ordinary village landscape in a day like each other. You can see some sawmill at the background, (some trees were cut down by a lumberjack, who maybe strolling somewhere not far away), a crystal clean lake, some lighthouse on the hill (there's probably a sea behind the hillocks) and two villages at the horizon. The dark clouds portending a rain, which maybe will pour today...

A smoke above the sawmill is static, but if I were making a game I would animate it. Oh, and that green hill on the left side - it's a good place for some corral (for a herd of sheep for example).

Anyway, enjoy!
