Oh, that sounds great! If I have a time, I'll probably enter this one. See you!

Thanks!

Here's only the one winner, but I like both BorisZ's and Oz's songs.

BorisZ: As somebody said before, your song would be perfect for some cartoony-style game. It's a bit monotonous tune, but not bad after all. Thanks for your time!

Oz: That's the stuff! Yes, I really like your piece, it's thoughtful and just awesome. Again, you're the winner! :)

Next time, I'll try to devise something more interesing.[/u] ;)

Well... see you in the next compo! 8)

Umm... I really like this sprite, it's very nice, but...

Yeah, the butt is - absolutely - too big. I know it can be massive, but on the side views it looks just bad (yuck! ;)). Is she wearing a combat trousers? Moreover, I think that something is wrong with her arms. She is a punk, so why not adding some punk accessories (like a variously earrings, some spikes, nails... or maybe a collar around her neck)?

PS: I don't know why, but I like her black look at the first image. ;)

Hi! My name's Jan (John) Czyzewski, I'm 17 and come from the city of Lublin, located in south-eastern Poland. I'm interesing in listening to various music, drawing some art, motorization (especially the older, 50's / 60's vehicles, such as Plymouth, Chevrolet, Harley-Davidson and so on), a little of history (IX-XII century Europe - Vikings, Slavs etc.) and - ofcourse - computer games such as adventures ("Loom", "Darkseed", "Sanitarium"), cRPG:s ("Fallout", "Planescape: Torment", "Baldur's Gate") or FPP:s ("Doom", "Quake" etc.), blah, blah, blah...

Anyway, it's really cool joining this community. Sorry for my crappy English, I hope you'll understand me after all. ;)

Pozdrowienia z Polski!
Greetings from Poland!

Judging from the trajectory of the gun, I'd say it appears that he overpowers her, and tells her to "Get down on the floor b***ch!" ;D
Or: "Keep the change, you filthy animal!" ;)

Bloody good work, Kyraal.

What do you think, a little less swing, or what?
Yup. ;)

I've done some edit:

Umm... my forum name? Because my real name is John. :P

Ok, be serious. The word "skurwy" is a neologism somewhat. In Polish "skurwiel" / "skurwysyn" means something like a vulgaric "creep" or just a "son of a bitch". ;) I like that unchoosy humour (you know of what I'm talking about...) and this nick is just for fun. :P

I like the second one, it's more detailed than the first. Only these arms movements scare me a bit ;)

Hello there! This is my very first event, so take it easy. ;)

Easy theme this time,

cough, cough... "EASY RIDER. DAWN IN THE MOUNTAINS".

Try to musically portray a marvellous view of Alpine landscape at dawn, the morning sunlight slowly rising somewhere far away, and a smooth and empty mountain road where you just driving your new sports car... or some cool chopper (I mean a motorcycle) if you want.

Let's say it's a scene for some intro or something. ;)

Will it be a swift rock ('n'roll) or some funky song? Maybe a nostalgic tune? Why not? It depends only from you!

Have fun! :D
Skurwy.

Thanks a lot for choosing my piece, Oz & those who enjoyed it. I'm really, really surprised! :)

Quote from: Ishmael on Mon 09/05/2005 15:03:45Do you have the next theme thought up?
Umm... ::) nope, not yet. :D

It may take me a few days to prepare a new and an original theme. ;D

Well... see you soon!

The problem i am having is that when minimizing, it goes all wrong :S
So why can't you minimize the original picture at first, then just draw over an image?
#358
Not bad, now just try colouring & shading... and that's probably all ;)

Oh, by the way: I've done this Fury 1957 the same way:

Simple, but maybe it will help you a bit.

Greets!

Man, the final work looks just G-R-E-A-T! I haven't seen so good bg for a very long time!

By the way, you've perfectly added the spirit of communist, PRL's suburbs ;)

Ok, here is my attempt, "THE DANCE OF KNIVES":

http://www.geocities.com/arcanusmysterii/ags/knives_lo.mp3 (2:21)

Sorry for the poor sound quality.

Seriously I've made it just for fun, not any compo. Precisely for my random game, which story took place after a nuclear war as well, so it fits this thread pretty well.

I've played bass with heavy distortion, stereo echo & reverb effects etc., then recorded everything on VOCAL microphone (with a short sound range). That noise and sound interferences were added purposely, some of them are just random. At last, it's only one-track recording!

This is my first anti-music attempt as well ;).

Have fun!
