Damn it, I wasn't saying that we should act outside law or discard democracy(maybe you missed the "fair trial" and "innocent until proven guilty" bits in my post). Also "criminal" is a broad term. There are people who steal food because they are starving and cant afford food but they are otherwise "good" people and there are people who are driven by sick desires. Do you really believe that both should be treated equally after they have been proven guilty? I strongly disagree. A man who has raped a baby and then killed it is the worst kind of criminal. Treating that person with respect for his dignity is totally wrong.

Now a lot of people's reactions might be "CUT HIS BALLS OFF!!1," or "GIVE HIM THE CHAIR!!," but I don't honestly think that's the best course of action.  I know an eye for an eye is a popular philosophy, but it just seems that if we can't settle these issues in a humane way, we're in worse shape as a race than I thought.   

Of course I am all for a fair trial and the principle "innocent until proven guilty", but if it has been proven that a person has shown no respect for another persons human dignity then there should be no respect for the human dignity of the guilty person. Child molestors are scum. If their guilt has been proven they should be treated like scum.

Because we care.

Conspiracy theories are really funny. Tons of them out there, not a single one supported by evidence. All they have is out of this world claims and phrases like "open your eyes!!! you are a tool of the government!!!". Ever been on a conspiracy theory site? They like to put their key phrases in huge colorful letters, like they wanna get sure your brainwashed mind won't miss the truth. Anybody who's reasonably intelligent will notice that those sites are just collections of fallacies. People who go along with those theories are out of touch with reality.

Which reminds me, recently someone on this forum claimed the US government was responsible for the 9/11 attacks. I asked for evidence but havent gotten any. The government must be preventing him from showing the truth. <.<

This is what happens in the porn scene of the movie: Homer and Bart are playing dare. Homer dares bart to skateboard to the kwik-e-mart and back totally naked. What ensues is a long and very funny sequence where bart skateboards along having everything possible coincidentally covering his genitalia (very similar to the Johnson-scene in Austin Powers). So after a while of genitalia-covering mayhem, Bart passes a bush that covers everything else than his genitalia. His penis is shown for a fraction of a second, end of story.

Unproven personal beliefs are not necceserily wrong. You could believe that black cats bring bad luck and i couldn't care less. The problem for me is when people start to develop extremist thinking like "black cats bring bad luck, so let's kill all black cats". This could go further to "let's kill all owners of black cats". And i'm not exaggarating. Just take a look at what's going on in belfast or the near east. It annoys me every time when people say to let others believe what they want if it gives them comfort. Did they miss that some religious extremists believe non-believers should be killed? Some believe it's ok to behead innocent hostages for their cause and they believe they will get 70-something virgins when they blow up themselves and innocent people around. Also google and youtube peter popoff, sylvia browne, john edward and jose-luis de jesus miranda for other malicious uses of religious faith.

Believe whatever you want, as long as your belief doesnt make you harm or fraud others, or become a victim of violence or fraud yourself. And next time someone says "oh, just let people believe what they want, what harm does it do" bring up the cases i mentioned.

The meaning of words changes. In the polish language the word "kobieta" used to mean whore. Today it simply means woman. Humbug used to be a really strong word. Today it has lost all it's impact.
The same with nigger. If we start to use it in a different context like a synonym for "buddy" the meaning will slowly change. Infact, look at the usage of negro in some spanish speaking countries http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Negro
