Same technique as before only this time I used a greyscale palete and painted over a photo(rotoscoping) to have a realistic pose and proportions. I completed the whole set in under 40 minutes. You can use the same technique to make backgrounds and animations. You just paint over frames of a real person walking. If you or  someone you know has a camera you can record your own poses, moves and background scenes and paint over the imported frames.

So, I took this guy...

And made it into this(outline, no outline and a little rose thingy to demonstrate a sin city style palete, if you want to highlight blood)

Yeah, we see what we want to see, and this is why highly skeptical people never find any evidence of the existence of ghosts...because they don't exist, obviously.

Oh you sceptics and your "empirical evidence". ::) You can only find the truth by believing.

Your character looks quite good. The style is a bit shaky though.

I took the freedom to completely redo your guy in a different style just to show you an alternative way of doing it. I used only the line tool and tried to make it so that a person with little skill could easily replicate it.

Below you see the three steps I used to create the character:
1 - outline
2 - shading
3 - coloring

Tell me what you think of it.

I agree with Ghost. I'd rather see a game with simple graphics than a game with ripped ones. Just make a test background or sprite and post it in the critics lounge and we will help you find a simple but nice looking style.

Hmm, Spaceboy seems very eager to pin this on someone else... I'd like to know where you were on the night in question AND DON'T SAY SPACE, BOY!

Uh... I was at....  <.<   >.>  *runs away*

Of course I'm kidding, duh.
But seriously if I was mad at somebody I wouldn't drive 150 miles just to make a hole in their tire. Unless that guy is really stupid. Maybe some dumb kid got bored and decided it would be fun to damage somebodies property. Whoever did it, one hole in a tire is not something I would be too worried about.

I don't actually owe anyone any money. But come to think of it, we yelled at the caterer after our wedding because he screwed up big time. We demanded some (quite a lot) of our money back, and he reluctantly accepted. He's in Indio, CA, which is some 150 miles away or so, but he does have our address! :o

No doubt it was him. Case solved. I'll pm you for payment details.

I would hazard a guess that the orbs are indoor light reflections.

Of course. Common sense and stuff. But as a profesional ghost hunter you have to ignore occams razor.

Are there any aspiring detectives around here who might fancy a visit to San Diego, California to see if they can figure out who did it?

Aspiring detective here. First question: Whom do you owe money?

With a lot of imagination it looks like some kind of happy monkey, but I've seen better ghost faces.

However there seem to be some orbs.

I like "Autumn falls" the most. You should definately keep on that one.

"If I could catch the sunrise" is good too. The violins really add feeling to it.

"A song for rainy weekends" has a nice little tune but is rather average.

The "classic" one is a bit too random for my taste. Couldn't really make out a melody.

Unfortunately the last two don't work for me.

"I have a dream!" - Martin Luther King Jr. on AGS
"Impressive.... most impressive" - Darth Vader on AGS
"I know AGS!" - Neo on AGS
"AGS may be the best engine around, but it may not be." - agnostic on AGS
"I offer a million dollars to anyone who can make a monkey island fangame" - James Randi on making fangames in AGS
"This is the work of the devil!" - christian who can't figure out AGS
"God made the world in 6 days.... with AGS!" - creationist on AGS
"I am God and you have to listen to me and follow me, because I am God." - Chris Jones about himself
"Mr. Jones, I'd like to share this book with you..." - Richard Dawkins on "The Pumaman Delusion"
"I've had it with those motherf*cking quotes on this motherf*cking forum!" - Mace Windu on space boy's post

And something that is not a quote:
In a world so full of first person shooters it's easy to ignore adventure games.(I'm not implying that adventure games are dead. Just in a coma.)

It's not that easy though -- Scientology's application to be recognised as a religion was rejected in the UK at least

It's kinda funny... the first thing I thought when I read this was "thank god". Stupid habits....

If it wasn't for the "religion" facade, there would certainly be a lot of grounds for prosecution over their many frauds... it's amazing what you can get away with under the religion banner. The price we pay for religious freedom, I suppose.

That's exactly the problem I have. An organization just needs to call itself a religion and suddenly it gets special treatment. Let's say someone believes little invisible green people are responsible for things falling down and if you give these little people moon shaped cookies they will let go of you and you will be able to fly. You would say this person is an idiot. But if they call that a religion everyone is like "oh, I respect your beliefs and I won't say bad things about it so I don't hurt your feelings. Also would you like to pay no taxes?"

Just to clear it up, for me tolerance and respect are two different things. If a belief is not harmful I'm ready to tolerate it. Everybody's free to believe what they want, even if I don't agree with it or find it stupid, as long as they don't do damage to others. Respect however is a much bigger idea. I respect things that are actually worth something to me. My family, friends, lot of effort put into a work of art etc. If you give it to any silly idea that's around you decrease the worth of respect. Respect is to be earned, not given. I find most religious beliefs silly and I see no reason why I should automatically respect them. Saying that every belief deserves respect is fake political correctness.

I don't because it's his opinion, and I actually agree. But I won't say it out loud.

I also agree and I will say it out loud. Other peoples beliefs do not automatically deserve respect.

First watch this:

Then watch this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ifEACinhrAY

There are thousands of cults/religions(whatever you wanna call it, same thing) and all of them work on the same principle. Scientology, christianity, the ministry of papa smurf are equally ridiculous and potentially dangerous. It's very easy to start your own religion, you just have to find gullible or desperate people. And we all know there's plenty of them.

And I just love how the pastor in the second vid says
QuoteI think any group whose leader says 'I am God and you have to listen to me and follow me, because I am God', that group is very dangerous for our society.
