animation looks really good, except that the gun has very odd kick to it...honestly a hooker would have weak girly arms and holding it with 1 hand, the gun would kick back quite a bit going around 100 fps...in this pic, the kick appears to be EXTREMELY delayed which makes the animation look very odd to me.  I think you should condence all of the kick into ****1*** frame.  The quality of the girl's stance, her hair, is very nice.

No, this is not a hoax.Ã,  One of the lead engineers for BMW is funding this project out of his own pocket.Ã,  The R50R robot is planned to be in production for traffic control within the decade.Ã,  This thing is incredible.Ã,  It is able to track moving targets etc in a Terminator-style HUD, it is amazingly dextrous, it can literally stop moving cars, just watch the videos in the link below.

EDIT: If you're wondering why it has wheels it's because it's made partly from BMW Mini Cooper parts!

I hope nobody rushes over there to vote for you lgm.

Not because I have anything against you...but do you really want to win that way?

The point of contests is to encourage people to create good work, not to practice their advertising skills

In Photoshop, you can record an action that will repeat a series of commands over a bunch of files, suich as crop, save, close.

QuoteI'm not too sure if I agree with that. We've talked about dislikes, things that irritate him, characteristics in people that really piss him off. I certainly take that very seriously and don't filter it at all. If anything, I probably place a slightly stronger emphasis on the bad than the good. And I think most people do the same. Of course, if the other person lies flat out to you, then your perception is jilted, but that's through no fault of your own.

I'm also very wary about these people turning out to be nothing like who they say they are. I've heard all too many stories about how 16/f/cali turned into 50/m/zambia. I think a level of skepticism is healthy, but at the same time, you do need to be open to the fact that not everyone is like that. We've exchanged plenty of photos of each other, so unless he's using his son's pics or something like that... And we've chatted on the phone, and he certainly doesn't sound like a grandfather. So, for now, I'm willing to assume he's telling the truth. We're thinking about meeting up soon-ish. I guess I will finally know for sure then...

Those stories about people lying about who they are...are really just a load of junk.  Sure, it happens, but if you really talk to someone for a long time, and start to actually get to know each other, perhaps feel that you knwo them better than their freinds at home, you've seen pictures of him, you know his family, etc...you can pretty well bet he's not some crazy guy.

That you talked about likes and dislikes is a good thing that you'll remember...but have you ever become annoyed at him, and just shrugged it off later?  That's easy to do online.  But in real life, that can be totally different.

You could both be completely open with each other, or try to be, but your minds are still going to be telling him your life through your eyes...which is not the same as your life through other peoples eyes, and you may empathize and like him for who he is when you hear about his life from his side, but then perhaps when you get to know him in real life that may all go out the window!

the new anim is the best in my opinion

the legs are great

arms could use a little work still.  don't move the upper arm so much, let it be more the lower arm swinging.  also the hands should be facing palms to the legs

QuoteThen again, a date can be successful even if it doesn't lead to sex and children and whatnot; just chatting to new people will grant you many experience points.

Well, this is a good point.

One thing I've certainly learned from internet relationships is that it's very easily to quickly feel as though you've found a soul-mate because people are very good at adapting who they are, or making you like the way they are, when your only connection to them is so distant.Ã,  They can filter out the bad and hype up the good.

Then when you meet them, you can't help but be shocked by the fact that they don't look anything like their BEST photograph, and you don't have anything in common in real life yet somehow you managed to think so in a digital world.Ã,  In short it's very easy for incompatible people to feel compatible over the internet.

I wouldn't rule out internet dating...I would just say, that from what I have learned from myself and my friends, that anyone you start to talk to on the internet....you should think to yourself why do I like this person are weÃ,  really good for each other...

and WHY are we both online enough to make this happen.  Is this a person who likes to do nothing but sit around and chat all day?  Will that bother you when you get together and all they want to do is chat with other people on the internet instead of hanging out with you and doing the things you want?

You KNOW they're going to be filtering the perspective of them that they show you' even if you've been talking to them for years the chances are that you know the side of them that they want you to know.  Everyone is beautiful from the inside and if they can get you to see their life from the inside it will look beautiful too, no matter how much you might hate them after getting to see an unfiltered version of their life.

And whats more, is that you OWN mind is going to be filtering the filtered version of what they show you.  Double filtering.  Because you will unconsciouslly downplay and forget about the aspects you hear that you don't like, and up-play and fantasize about the aspects you DO like.

I don't have time to read everything that's been said but before I go...let me just say...

internet relationships dont work out

at least not for the 14-20 age group

There's nothing wrong with JPGs, they have excellent compression.  It looks like you saved this at compression level 5 or below, which makes it look like crap.  In general, if you save at level 8 or above, it will look good.  Save at level 10, I am hard pressed to find any slight differences by zooming in and comparing pixel blocks to the uncrompressed version.  Savign at level 10 (out of 12) still does somethign insanely nice like 60% compression.

Perry Nasalson
Do you think someone will understand the similarity with Perry Mason?

The name sounds pretty good to me, I like Perry Mason

Ehrm... Stuh, "Perry Nason" is the original name from the tv-series (maybe not so famous as I thought. They're about a lawyer, which also investigates...). So, I can't use it. And I wanted to make a joke about the nose, so I called him "Nason".

Maybe, just "Perry Nasal"? Does "Nasal" mean anything in english?

Uh...what?  You're saying the series was called Parry Nason, and then they changed it to Perry Mason?  OBviously I know what the series is about because I said I liked it.  I'm not sure I believe you that it used to be called Nason.  Either way, I don't see what the issue is with calling it Perry Nason...that is the only logical name to make it a good parody, anything else and you have (a) a parody that nobody will get or find clever (b) a big nose for no reason.

I'll betcha $20 they're not  ;)

I think  the 10 frame version looks considerably better...it has so much more flow and personality in the walk.  Granted, the body is jittering a little and that needs to be fixed.

If you don't try and sell it, I'm pretty sure it's legal to use other peoples stuff without even giving them credit...is that right?

Something about this character just makes me want to give him a good paddling and then steal his lunch money.

This background is obviously meant to be a scrolling background, in which case it absolutely should not have a single perspective point.

something like this?

What's it for?  Given that it's not from a top view, you can't move the ship around on the screen because the perspective should be changing...

Also, I don't know what we could possibly crit on -- the model is obviously nice, and you've copied it, but so far you haven't added any original to it

The character looks pretty good, but I think he needs to be redrawn, or at least have the border edges cleaned up a lot, because all of the lines are blurred.  This will mean that unless you use an alpha channel, it will have bad artifacts all around the edges, not to mention looking blurred.  The name sounds pretty good to me, I like Perry Mason.

Looks pretty good for a rough blocking out of the scene.  does it look like a finished bg?  no

That sky is a lot nicer
