Underneath the hatch, leaning on the wall between your bedroom and another bedroom, you will find something useful.

When you lean on your window, head sticking out, and look at every window, 2 you don't know if someone is in there, and the one with the ORC says someone's in there.  You talk to that window. He sticks his head out, you smash him ah!ah! and then you go back into his cell. Then you get the plate.
