Have you finished yet.Ã,  I did.Ã,  GREAT GAME.Ã,  Did you get Morry out of Fitness Center?Ã,  If not, let me know.

p.s. I have just posted that I am looking for another game similar to this one.Ã,  I'm out of games right now?Ã,  Any suggestion ??? :-\

Yes, I finished it. I agree with you. I think the game - altough a beta version - deserved another ending: too abrupt after all that action!

A trick: go to full lenght games http://www.agsforums.com/games.php?category=1 , look at pics, read the synopsis, try to visit the sites (if there are any), and then download and try them out: I found alotta 5 star games this way.

AGSFORUMS games I'm sure you'll like:
- Tómate un Descanso (Take a Break) - with Eng Translation;
- Uncertainty Machine;
- Masters of Sound;
- Frank the Farmhand;
- Flashbax;
- Night of the hermit;
- The Mistery of the Haunted Hollow;
- Buccaneer (too short but good stuff);
- Apprentice;
- 5 o'clock lock;
- Bestowers of Eternity;
- Scythe Island (download at link from finished games forum);
- Donnie Darko;
- Cirque de Zale;
- Beyond Reality;
- The Secret of Carver Island - I and 2;

I could post alotta more, but hope these ones are enough for now.

I've links for downloading free adventure games besides this one, and besides AGS, but won't post them here, I'm sure I'd break forum rules, and so on.

Thanks.  I have played quite a few or should I say about 1/2 of these games.

After this one,  Cirque de Zale, 5 1/2 days, Frank the Farmhand, Beyond Reality, it is hard to find another one so entertaining ( I am not putting down any other game that I have also enjoyed). It's just that I would kinda like to stick to this type of game that's why I was asking for a suggestion :)

Do you have a suggestion to a game that would be similar to this one? :-[

:D Thanks for the feedback everyone!Ã,  I'm glad there weren't TOO many bugs.. (I'll try to fix those crashes in a newer version, perhaps with a German translation.)

but I'm super thrilled with the response here, it's very satisfying to finally have it available for everyone to click through.

I'm trying to take a break from computer-drone status for a while, but I'm anxious to build on what I've learned from this project and get started on some new ideas I have!

Cerebrit

Please don't take a too long break. :(  Your game even if there were bugs, and although it was sometimes frustrating, was GREAT.

Are you sure you don't have another game hidden in your back pocket ??? ;)

Next one try to make it so that we can go back to a 'load' game faster (without going through all the intro/talking) ;)

GOOD JOB. GREAT GAME.  Looking for next one. :)

Sorry can't help you yet at fitness Center. Have not gone back yet.
If you find it before me, let me know ;)

I figured out the Fitness scene! Didn't play it yet, but it should be like that:
Spoiler
Inside Dojo, near door, look at sign: take free card for a fitness personal training lesson; at fitness center, when you can, use glue with a machine - weights, i think - , and when teacher uses it, glued!!!

Well, what a so difficult but excellent game!

You get the hearing aid from your brother after you give him the brownies. ;)

Many thanks, Sunshinegold: I tried giving all stuff to grandpa when I had it all together - what was a stupidity of mine and completely wrong: should have helped him going upstairs before that...Ã,  ::)

Now pls check my last post, I'm stuck at Fitness Center, already finished the Dojo, the gameshop, the worker ones.

Spoiler
batteries: were to be used with hearing unit, now I know that.

I didn't think I'd NEVER cry and pray for help each two minutes, but... never say never again. Pls, Sunshinegold:
How

Oh thanks Primus, i know what to do now, except the Grandpa can't give me the dollar :'(

Grandpa cannot give you $ because he can't hear you.  Give him his hearing aid.

And to get Rufus in the kitchen, you need to keep the door open. He will not go in until the brownies are ready.  And you have to get GRANDMA out of kitchen not GRANDPA. ;)

Many thanks for your tips! This game is a serious case of tentaculus aguditis, and I'm also suffering from despair urticaria... to whom may I send the doctor's bill?Ã,  ;)

how to get
Spoiler
batteries: open cd player twice. Maybe's a red herring, don't know yet. Cd player is at gameshop, if you managed to turn tv on already.
robe: one shower curtain in bathroom. Use it at dojo somehow, don't know how yet.

Cittymom: Thanks again alot!

Don't send bill to anyone , the game is not over yet ;D

I thought I was going to loose my eyesight last night, I spent more than 3 hours trying to turn on the dishwasher and I had read there was a tab to push, but I just never saw it. : :-[

Kidding aside, I think this game is great.

How did you manage to do so? Please help, Cittymom,Ã,  'cause I'm really stuck here and there and... in alotta places of this game!!!Ã,  :'(Ã,

Ok Primus.  You got in Dojo.  Push chair and get door stopper.
If you activated the washing machine and dishwasher to 'hot' and 'scrub', then you go back upstairs and talk to brother.  He will finally leave the shower.

I missed the part about 'opening the newspaper' maybe now I will go a little further in the game.

How did you get the bathrobe?  and why do you need it? ??? and where did you get the batteries? ???

Sunshinegold,

Spoiler
The small tab is at the bottom left of the panel where you select the High Temp Scrub button.Ã,  Click on it and it slides to the right and turns the dishwasher on.

Thank you SOO  MUCH :D  I just could not see that tab. I think the more you look at something the less you see it. :-[

Now I'm still stuck: :-\

I got my brother out of shower but he won't give me the hearing aid unless I get him some brownies and I know grandpa will give me $$$ after I give him his hearing aid!!!!

I can't get the secret ingredient for the brownies unless I give the guy in the park something from Fitness shop.  I cannot buy anything.... I don't have $$$$.  So cannot buy hotdog and get ketchup and napkin.

I can't exchange junk food with gameguy for his cooler....

I can't get the cat in kitchen, get grandma out and get brownies because they are not done.

I went into fitness shop, gave my free pass, but cannot go nowhere and will not use the fitness ball????

I might be missing just one thing but I don't know what :-[

And how do get walkie-talkie???

I'm telling you, I love this game, but I'm completly stuck.

You just need to use up more hot water.Set the dishwasher and the washing machine going on hot loads.

I read that there is a small 'tab' under the bottons of the dishwasher ??? I must have spent at least 3-4 hours messing (using) with the dishwasher with no success. >:(  Could this be a bug?  I have tried the bottons on the left then the ones on the right, above the stew.  Could anyone give me a precise spot so that I can go on with the game ???

So many of you have completed this game so I guess you did not get stuck with the dishwasher.    Does it make a difference if I got the washing machine working first?   Do I have to use the dryer also after I got the quarter?

I am getting so frustrated. :-X :-X

I recently finished a project I've been working on.. I would consider it a beta version but it's complete and playable as is.

A website with screenshots and the link is up here...

http://66.96.236.220/noaction/

The download is about 6 megs, TYIA to anyone checking it out.

Cerebrit

Love your game.Ã,  Some puzzles are a little hard (like the dishwasher, I am still working on it).Ã,  Is there a bug here because I cannot get it going. I just get the 'it's not on' message.  Does grandma have to be out of the kitchen or something?

Very nice graphics and very enjoyable.Ã,

Just wished that we didn't have to go through the whole introduction when we go back to a 'loaded' game.

Hope you make a new game soon and as someone else has already mentioned, make it longer if possible.Ã,  A game is always too short when it is good. ;)

Have you looked in the Completed Games Forum for No-Action Jackson?
There are quite a few hints there for things that you haven't been able to do yet. It's normally where I check first when I get stuck!Ã,  ;D
The link is
http://www.agsforums.com/yabb/index.php?topic=13740.0
Hope that stops you getting dizzyÃ,  :P

Thanks.  I had started reading that forum but thought it was only to report bugs or to compliment the author, so I never read through the 4 pages.

I am a bit confused though.  Shouldn't all these questions/hints be in the 'hints' forum?  I would never have thought of looking there.  Is it the same for every game or was that unusual? ???

Again I thank you, I really enjoy this game even if I get stuck quite often ;)

You need to get into the Dojo first.

How do you open the hatch?  (my inventory: excalibur, sponge, knife, bra, newspaper, hanger, ).

I cannot 'grease' the sponge on stew (too hot), cannot start dishwasher (it's not on), cannot get my brother out of bathroom, cannot send my mother upstairs and get the cat in kitchen,

so far I managed to get the cane and give it to grandpa but cannot find his hearing aid.  I got the washing machine running, cannot get ketchup or napkins (I suppose to use on construction worker), cannot get glue gone.

I'm just going around in circles but without getting ahead.

Can anyone help?  I have read the 2 pages of 'hints' but cannot do anything. ??? :'(

Hi again, Sunshinegold!

Yes, I completed it. I managed to upload the walkthru file right now, and it's here:
http://www.2dadventure.com/ags/nq_walk.zip

At agagames, a moderator must check the file before it is available - but it doesn't last more than a coupla days.

Hope it may help youÃ,  :D

Thank you so much and yes you did help me.  I just printed your walkthru and will play the game later on tonight.  I had done/pick up a lot but now I will read it over and see where I went wrong.

Thanks again. :)

Hi, Sunshinegold!

Well, it's true: the bug is ...
Spoiler

when you give your 8 coins to smith in exchange for a cardboard helmet made by his son, you can't. And without the helmet, you can't progress in the game...
[close]
I had to restart (just reload didn't work, the bug was still there), and get the items ONLY when the game or a character, or else, demand them: it seems that an item (it seems nobody know which) triggers the bug, so the only chance is to start again.
By the way, I already wrote a walkthru, it'll be soon available at http://asgagames.com/agswalkthroughs , I hope...

HI Primus,

Your walkthru is not available yet.  As I mentioned in my last post,  it's fine to pick up things as you go along, but you can go to so many places, so it is very hard without a walkthru to follow the game and only go and pick up things in a sequence.

Since you wrote a walkthru, which means you completed the game, could you help me out.  Even if I did restart the game, I would probably get stuck again, over and over.

Let me know where I went wrong and what, if anything, I am missing.

Thanks

Use the poison with the guard1 or guard2 is not working!
:-[

I am totally stuck!   :-[

I have read all the above 'hints' and I am still stuck.

I must have missed something important so that all I am trying to do is useless.

I have knife, 8 coins, fresh fish, seimitar, broken arrow, feather, licence, bottle with water, gold tooth.

I'm going around in circle, I go from the inn, the guild rooms, smith, scout, apprentice, guards, tower, and I talk to everyone, look, use, I just cannot get ahead.  I am sure I missed something but I do not know what and where I missed it.

You talk about Sir Lunchalot,  the bird for the scout (I know where it is but what do you do with it?)  grape juice ? I showed my licence to bartender but he does not give me a key.....

Then someone says: 'Try solving each puzzle in order, only picking up items when they become necessary.  That way you should be able to avoid triggering the bug...'

How do you know why items to pick up first and solving puzzles as you go along if you don't know where you're going.

I tell you, I am completely lost......

I really need help. or I should say HELP!!!!!!!! :'( :'(

I read in the 'hints'

Can you give an example of a search term that doens't find the right results?

Thanks for answering.  My latest search was for 'neverquest'. I got 1 page, but if I go back to the 'hints' forum, starting from last page, I ended up with 9 'print' pages.

I am sure that I am doing something wrong, but I don't know what.

So your help or comments would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.
