I got the plans from the box in the library, been to the basement where the reactor is but I need some kind of energy(hampster) to make things work. So I have been to all the rooms that have items to gather but still can't make progress.

You have to go to the Fox Caves to get hampster.  Have you spoken to Hoagie's father yet

Okay, I guess I'm not there yet. Can't seem to get anywhere with what I have: ruler, pen, vaccum with moss in it, radiation gauge, plans, corkscrew, box, laxative, zippo, sad bull, remote

I can't pick-up tent from campsite after I got hampster.  Went back in basement, got screwdriver, and removed moss from vaccuum. I have tried screwdriver with everything.

I am now at campsite trying to put up the tent. 

sorry,not sure exactly where to post this.so i downloaded the first few maniac mansions from silver sphinx,which i though offered both english and german. when i open them they dont offer the english and go straight to the german. i cant find the option to make it into english,if there is one. is there something i am not getting or maybe someone knows of an english download.

I don't think we can do anything with that plug. But I said go LEFT of the TV room, not right.  There should be a group of people (session). Maybe you have to read the sign where all the chairs are before looking at the clock. When asked if you want to join the session, answer yes

I tried going back to a SAVED GAME but it does not work. So I am trying to help you from memory.

Finished the game and enjoyed it but now trying to help on the hints forum I realized that the SAVED GAMES mode is not working.  I cannot go back to them, the arrows on the right side do not work.

I am stuck in emily.

So far I got the following items:
key, coupon, book, cup, branch, pen, drug

Apparently, there are two ways in using the lock from arcade which gets me the drug:
1) with cup and with the branch.

I know that I need kill the old woman.
Is she the one in my room?
I've read with the knife. But where the knife?

I've also read to give the drug to man at TV room but I cannot.

Is there anything else I'm missing?

Drug from arcade:  need coupon for change but you say you already have it. Yes it is the old lady in your room.   If you look at clock, maybe it's time for something to happen.? Look at left of TV room. And from there you may get something you need.

I've gotten a little further, and now I'm stuck:

I've found the underground lab, gotten the printout, gone back to the church, and got the file on Jimmy. Now what? I've gone all over town to no avail and I can't leave without getting one of the bad endings.

After the lab, I got out through office + church and then once outside I went straight down (south) of screen and ended up on deck, before the boat.

I also shot the tanks in the lab, got out by office + church and same ending as above

I'mÃ,  trapped in the jail cell - I have the bandage, the file, the journal, and a chunk of concrete.Ã,  The game won't allow me to throw the concrete at the guard or use it on the jail bars.Ã,  There doesn't seem to be anything else I can interact with other than the bench.
