Just picked this up on indiegames.com

http://indiegames.com/2013/02/indie_tools_dagon.html

Dagon engine has just been open-sourced. Is multi-format (PC, Mac, Linux and iOS). Uses Lua based scripting to get things done. Custom made for point and clicks it seems.

Haven't looked at it much yet. Anyone else know of this or got comments? In the light of various discussions about moving away from AGS (shock horror, but there - I said it!) towards other engines e.g. Unity, I thought this might be of interest to some.

Considering that Lace Mamba was a sponsor/contributor to the first AdventureX, plus our collective love of adventure games, I thought this might be of interest to many of you:

http://www.gamasutra.com/blogs/JakubDvorsky/20130211/186420/Indies_vs_Mamba_Games_and_Lace_Mamba_Global.php

TL;DR - Lace Mamba illegally distributed games in territories where it had no licence, didn't pay royalties, didn't pay minimum guarantees to companies involved. Those companies being Colibri (Tiny Bang), Amanita Design (Machinarium, Samarost etc.) and Daedelic (Whispered World series).

A strong warning for indie devs to be careful of who they sign with. Anyone here thinking about using Lace Mamba as a publisher? Ditch them ASAP.

As per subject line.

I'd really like to use AGS for something, but I've been looking on the forums and feature list and couldn't find any evidence of AGS being able to do something other than an .exe file. Ideally I was hoping AGS can export to Flash format (I know it can't do iOS - is there something in the works for that?).

Many thanks for your time.
