I don't really know how to go about ranking a top 5 but there a plenty of games that I can suggest/recommend to you, fleshstalker. Prolly almost all of these have been mentioned but I'll try to throw in a few that I haven't seen listed yet:

2. The 3 King's Quest remakes

3. Pleurghburg

4. Spooks

5. 5 DAS, 7DAS, Trilby's Notes, 6DAS

6. Reactor 09

7. Duty and Beyond

8. Knightsquire

Now for a few that I didn't see on anyones lists:

1. Prodigal

2. Da New Guys (I'm dying to play the new one)

3. Emily Enough

4. Sydney Finds Employment

5. Secrets

If I think of any others I will edit this post..... Have fun playing and welcome to the AGS community, Fleshstalker.

Well, I know Nelly Cootalot was on my list for a loooooong time. Too bad I haven't even had time to play it yet.....

I am a little confused.... If there was a bug that made the game impossible to complete, then how did some people finish the game before the updated version? Where do you get the patch? Or should I just re-download the entire game???
#45
I'm sorry that this is off topic, but will you still be workin' on completing Welcome to Dark Lake? I loved that demo and it would be a shame if that game goes unfinished....

The boobs are looking good.... I think if there is a catergory for best boobs this yeah though, I think it would have to go to the chick from The Forgoten Element.  :o

Wow, this is indeed excellent news. I concur with Darth, glad to hear that the project is still alive. BTW, I loved the demo....

Great news. Can't wait to play it....

Well, I've decided that instead of looking for everyone all at once to work on the game, right now I am just looking for someone that could start with working on some backgrounds. I think if I can find someone willing to do some bg's, we could get the feel of how we want to go with the project. So once again, anyone who might be interested in working on the project (doin' backgrounds), please PM me or send me an e-mail at thewalrus_2000@yahoo.com. Also, send a sample of your work....... C'mon every body, someone out there has to be willing to help undertake in this project!!!  ;)

I already said that I do not. But I would still be doing a great deal of work for the project as doing all the coordinating and helping with dialogue's and everything else that I can do to assist the people that would be doing the art, music, etc...

Agreed, at the time the game was created, they didn't have the capability to make a graphical adventure game. King's Quest didn't come out until like 1984 - 85 I believe. So, that was the reason why it was text based.... It was a classic, please try it out and hopefuly I will get a team together. (I think this project has great promise, with the right people)

Ã,  Ã,  Ã, Thanks for linking to the game. This way people can play it and see what it was all about. Zork was a legendary text adventure game. It was probably one of the best text games of all time. I'd like to have really nice BG's and music, I want this project to be of the highest quality. Please take a look at the text version and once again if anyone is interested, please pm me or email me. Thanks again, all!! Here is an additional link to download the game:

Yes, it was a text adventure game. I want to create a graphical adventure of it, using the same puzzles and everything but turning it in to a point and click game.

Adventure Related Talk & Chat / Zork remake
Fri 23/02/2007 16:47:24
Ã,  Ã,  Ã, I've posted this in the recruit a team thread already but I wanted to make sure as many people as possible see this so, I am starting my own thread for it too:

Okay, I have an idea to remake the original Zork text adventure game(and turn it in to a graphical AGS game). I have no real abillities as far as doing graphics, music, coding, or anything. What I'd like to do is get a team together and I would do all the coordination for the project. Also I would get everyone what-ever info the would need to design the bg's and do the conversations and everything and anything else I could possibly help with (I have lots of free time on my hands at the moment, so I would be able to dedicate mucho time to the project). Hopefully there will be people that like the idea and want to work on the project. Please PM if interested or email me at thewalrus_2000@yahoo.com. I am very serious about this idea and would REALLY like to get a team together!

P.S. If interested, I'd also like to see samples of your work, so please send me some samples as well. I am striving for making a HIGH quality game. (I know you might be thinking, well he can't do anything but as team leader I would be doing a LOT of coordinating and dedicating a LOT of time to the project)!!!
