I found out who took the cheese!

and I feel betrayed!

So many interesting characters, small side stories always going on and things keep changing making this game feel very dynamic. Every time you think you're stuck something happens and you get a new lead.
As always, a very funny game.
Something that was missing in the game, is sexual innuendos, they were nowhere to be found...  ;)

Overall great job once again!

A very interesting story and a very entertaining game.
It was refreshing to see an original take on a known theme, I was always wondering what the computer was planning next, and continually sucked in by the beautiful environments.
The puzzles were mostly on the easy side, yet interesting and contributing to the story. I especially loved being inside the computer and thus fulfilling an old fantasy of mine...
Well done!

I really enjoyed this documentary, it's great to see how Ben Chandler behaves in his natural habitat, very enlightening!

Also kudos to Calin for being such good sport.  :)

A very cute game, with nice puzzles and a clean, professional look.
I enjoyed testing it, and if I ever have children I will definitely let them play this!  :D

How did this not get more attention?  :o

This is one of the more inventive and experimental games I've seen.
I'm very intrigued by the story, I think I didn't get the best ending, and didn't really understand everything that was going on. I would like to see a perfect walkthrough for this some day, if such a thing exists.

The game literally makes you feel like you're in prison, giving you that hopeless feeling that there's nothing you can do (which is mainly the reason that I don't want to replay it again, played it two times and got very depressed from being in prison)...

I found it to be a really interesting game, with a combination of creepy atmosphere and unexpected humour (which made this even more creepy).
I'll be keeping my eye on your lightbulb!

Thanks Captain, and also thank you for your review:)

I currently have no plans for expanding this to a larger game, though I reserve the right to change my mind in the future.

In other news, in case you've missed it, a great Let's Play was made by WHAM here (with commentary some incomprehensible ramblings by me & Noa).

I'm willing to give 1:200 odds to anyone willing to bet the forums will never go down again.
Any takers?  ;D

Declaring my interest!
I'm a bit worn out from the bake sale, and have a wedding to arrange as well, so if I do join, it will probably be with a game on a smaller scale.

Like everything else you do, very impressive!

As for feature suggestions, how about:
- moving platforms where you can edit the path of movement
- appearing/disappearing platforms
- slippery/slow platforms
- platforms that moves you right/left
- multiple switchable characters a-la lost vikings
- ladders, ramps, ropes

Just a few thoughts.
- Are you using sprite 56 anywhere else in the code?
- Try and reproduce it by running it a lot of times. Change (temporarily) the code to this:
Code: ags

oBowlEmpty.Visible = true;
Wait(40);
int i = 0;
while (i < 1000)
{
      oUdder.Graphic = 56;
      Wait(20);
      oUdder.Graphic = 100;
      Wait(20);
      i++;
}
oUdder.Graphic = 55;

Maybe by the next bundle this would be made public?

Saying this game is addicting would be an understatement!
Be prepared to part with your relatives before embarking on this voyage...

Everything in this game is super cute, and I especially recommend buying some indie art.  ;)

The polish on this game is incredible!
A very enjoyable game, I finished it on medium after a lot of deaths. I especially liked how you retreat to the easy level after you had a few deaths, a really nice touch, and I probably wouldn't have finished it without it. I can't tell you how relieved I was every time those stars showed up, and also how proud I was when I managed to get to a save point without the stars...

I tried a playing a bit in the hard masochist level, I gave up soon, though I did manage to get a blue cup in that level (which I didn't manage at all in the first play).

A very funny game, well done!
Like Ben, climbing the wall was my favorite part, since it reminded me of that one time when I climbed the three-headed zombie dragon, before I slashed up his head and gave it to the villagers.

Also, I totally predicted the ending, I guess that makes me tzachs the amazing!

Beautiful game. I loved the concept and the world that you built, I can already imagine more stories revolving around this world, and since you left some unfinished business

I really hope that you've made plans for expanding on that.

Also, a few bugs that I saw:
Spoiler
There were a few inventory items that you didn't give a name to, so it showed "New Inventory Item" when you hovered the mouse on them, and there were also a few objects that didn't respond when you looked at them. Sadly, I didn't write down which...

I was about to give up and post that I didn't understand how to play the game, but then I saw here that nobody else complained, so I decided to give it another try, and then I figured out what I did wrong the first time:
Spoiler

I was walking right instead of left! I'm so used to Mario and all the other platformers that I didn't think of going to the left at all...

Anyway, once I figured that out, the game was great. The music and graphic style fits perfectly, and the whole concept (and the marketing concept as well, you actually built a website just for this?!?!) is genious!
All the little details you put in this are really impressive. I still don't understand at least one of the mini-games so far, and I still haven't finished the game yet (I believe there was a bug when I entered the menu when it was blueish and couldn't go back to the game so I had to kill the process), but I will definitely try again soon.
Really great job on this!

P.S. Ben, you are crazy (in a good way)!

Thanks guys, for your feedback.  :)

Yes, like david said, there are two endings:
Spoiler

The complete ending which you get if you reach at least 95 points, and the "weird" ending for anything less, though if you reach at least 90 points, you'll get a small audio clue to hint at the "complete" ending that you were very close to.

If you didn't understand what happened when you got the "weird" ending, it's not because you're slow, it was designed to be hard to decipher...

Do you have any plans for a "perfect walkthrough" ? I played it through again and I still can't hit 100 points. (Clearly, I suck)  :-[
Where's the fun in that?
I might write a "perfect walkthrough", though I'm currently feeling a bit lazy... I played the game so many times to hunt for bugs, I don't have the energy to do it again right now.
I might reconsider if there's enough demand for it (and by enough demand, I mean one more person asking for it)...
The tips that david gave could help for those that want to try again, though, and also one more important tip, is: don't choose the funny answers!
Also, Ponch, you don't suck, you rule them all!

Thank you guys for playing (and hopefully enjoying) the game!  :D
I hope you'll be able to reach the complete ending eventually, who knows, maybe it will be less weird if you do..  ;)

'9 Months In' - which is a brilliant little mystery, but I only got 81/100 and a weird ending.  Can't wait to play it again soon and aim for 100 and see if I get more explanation.

Same here, but no time to do it again right now
Same here, as well, and I also had around 80-ish points and got a strange, abrupt ending. I think I understand what the officer was trying to say to her, though. Heh.. irony.
@Spectreincarnate Maybe you understand, but you won't know for sure, now, would you?
Though I think you do understand, and if you do then it's indeed a wonderful example of irony...

As for the rest of the bake sale, I'm enjoying the games immensely! I'll probably respond in each of the threads when they come up (if they do come up).
