General Discussion / Re: Anyone have Portal?

Portal is the second game on the list which started with "Grim Fandango" for games which utterly blew me away and I enjoyed from start to finish. And was sad when I had completed them.

I CONCUR! Grim Fandango and Portal are OFFICIALLY the best two games ever. They're Flibble approved!

(I would maybe add a couple more to the list, but I'm afraid it's only a two game list ._.)

Surely it should mean "correct this 'cos I think I may have spelled it wrong and it would be useful to know how to spell it correctly for further uses?"

A real shame. While Hendrix was a genius, Mitch was vital in fleshing out his band as a whole.

A truly great musician.

@VWG
How can guys appreciating chicks who like to dress up in skimpy outfits be classed as 'gay'?
Some might consider it a bit sad... but then again some people consider making your own adventure games to be a bit sad... it all depends on the person doing the judging and those being judged should be left alone to do what the hell they want.

I can't control what the robot media choose to report. For example:

It has occured to me lately that some people actually have an active life beyond AGS.

I know several of you have webcomics, art blogs, and other endeavours outside making adventure games. Only recently have I discovered some of them.

BASICALLY: I want to know what they are. For example, I have a webcomic!

Please, feel free to show what else you're up to here! Think of it as free advertising, as I will check it out.

At least some people have the guts not to be politically correct!

Not only is that video brilliant, but the comments are mostly amusing too.

(unless you're an American citizen, in which case I would assume they are very scary.)

This is brilliant. MOAR PLEASE.

Also, sorry to be in the minority and without meaning to offend, but I had to turn off the voice acting as it was pretty hammy  ;D.

DISAGREED.

I think the voice acting is doubleplusgood. It's professionally amateur, as opposed to just amateur. Everyone involved has done a fantastic job!

Don't listen to them. It was just you Nikolas. We decided to prevent you access to the forum for a while. Hope you enjoyed your time away from us! We had a big party here without you.

Hey, I forgot to thank you both for your help. I tried the DNS thing, it was already set to automatic. I have tried OpenDNS like you suggest, have yet to see how that plays out. If that doesn't work, I will try the filthy Welshman's advice.

Thank you both!

General Discussion / Wireless type problems
Sun 03/08/2008 11:16:40
Hi!

I've been having a problem with my interwebs and I was hoping you guys (especially the ones who are smarter than me) could help? Pretty please?

I share a flat with 2 peeps so we have a wireless router that we all use (a Belkin if that's at all important.)

For me, it works fine, I can access any website I want, download stuff, run all programs, etc etc.

For them, it is not so simple. They can access most sites, but not others. Notable examples include Myspace, Hotmail, 110mb.com (where my website is hosted, which they can't access) among others. Also, they can't use MSN or P2P type stuff.

I haven't the foggiest what the problem could be as I am not educated in the slightest in these matters. I wouldn't know if I have to open any ports or change settings or anything. Also I should note my flatmates are using Vista while I'm still on XP.

Any ideas? Cheers.

Sir, you are in luck, for I too have created a series of guns that anyone can use in their game!

First up is the MANKILLER, for when size does matter:

Next, the DUOBULLETSHOOTER, for those times when you need to shoot two people at once!:

And if that's not enough, tell your enemies to prepare for the awesome devastation of...MR POTASSIUM:
