It's not that it mores quicker, it's that it moves MORE - the left arm doesn't swing past the front or back of the torso but the right arm does. I'd suggest changing it so that they move the same distance.

I would also say that the "bob" that occurs when he is walking is slightly off - you appear to have one "bob" per step, whereas you should have two - the body is elevated slightly when each of the legs is fully vertical. Right now it looks like he has a bit of a limp.

I like the character though and think that it could make an interesting style graphically - as long as all the characters and backgrounds (and art in general) were consistent.

Cheers for that Haj! I just assumed that they weren't up anymore, not that the links were wrong for a couple of them.

Still can't get 14 or 19 though. I tried to hear (and record) 14 on that myspace page (the external link there) but it would not load (what with myspace players being pretty crappy and all.) Any help anyone?

While we're on the subject of AGS audio and all, does anyone have all of the podcasts? If so, I am looking for episodes 12, 14, 16 and 19. Can anyone help?

The rest can be found here:

51% support for George Bush II.

That's debatable. Let's ask Florida about that one shall we?

*This post brought to you from 5 years ago*

But anyway, let's not open up a can of worms on Bush.

It just reached 2007 in the UK.

It's weird in 2007. Everyone wears hoverboots and speaks Martian.

Whether this is awesome or not, I'll let you decide. But as part of my "Creative Video" module, we were asked to film "A chase scene". This is what we came up with and I directed (as someone in our group had some Haloween costumes lying around):

Watch in amazement as we rip off about 50 other youtube videos! :D

Yes!

Go to "My emoticons" then "create" - it's pretty self explanitory from there.

While I didn't get to the Glasgow show myself (I didn't get tickets in time), a friend of mine did and saod the show was actually a little disappointing, I don't think he liked the way it was a semi-play instead of a straight gig. Or at least, that's the impression I go - he was very hungover when I spoke to him about it...

I do however like the new album, it's pretty rockin' - it always surprises me that I like Tenacious D for their music, not just the humour side. I've seen the film as well, and it's good for what it is - obviously it's not paticularly groundbreaking and isn't going to win any oscars, but it kept me amused for a couple of hours, so it's a success in my book.

I think most people will be starting uni then (I know I am) but that doesn't mean it will be too stressful - it's better to have it at the start of a semester than an end at any rate - people will have less to do for the most part.

I would most certainly be interested in any week over the next month or so, excluding this week obviously.

I've had a 20gb iPod for a year now and have had absolutely no problems with it. Although it is now full, but that's more my fault than that of the 'pod - most people won't fill theirs to capacity.

Are you talking about this article?

No, it was actually a thread on the old AGS EZBoard forums I believe. And I'm glad m0dsy remembers it as well as it proves I am not insane enough to make up treads about Monkey Island in my head.

That article looks interesting though, I'll give it a read through later!

I'm sorry to bring such a unconstructive post to the table, but I had to bring this up regarding the MI2 ending...does anyone have a copy of that thread from aaaaages ago analysing that ending in great detail? I was initially disappointed with the MI2 ending also, but after reading through this and the possibility that it could be more than it seems then I decided I like it. Anyone?
#395
Haha, Erwin, I'd advise checking the link in the post DIRECTLY before yours. :P

Oh man! "Invalid item"?

What was it, monkey?

Why Chicky, I'm glad you asked!

Photoshopping isn't drawing a completely new image -- It's editing images to create a new image, such as editing one image or combining several images. Also, you don't have to specifically use Photoshop -- Paint Shop Pro, MSPaint, or any other programs can be used.

I think Daniel Craig looks like a fantactic Bond but I won't comment further until I have seen it.

As for the whole "different actors" thing, I once read a theory that keeps the continuity that I quite liked. Basically it implied that the name "James Bond" was used every time they promote any agent to 007, that is to say, once Sean Connery's "character" died, then another guy (George Lazenby) came in and assumed his position. The name "James Bond" in itself is just that - a name given by the government.

It's a bit silly to go into much detail about it I suppose, but if it keeps the obsessives happy then it's for the best.
