I have nothing to say except that that is the greatest single-letter-post anyone has ever made.

And there are only like 25 alternatives to it.

Regarding lightboxes:

A simple lightbox isn't actually that hard to make yourself for (relatively) mega cheapness. I made one with materials adding up to around £50. It may not be high tech (doesn't have a rotating disc type thing, which I miss muchly) but it's functional. It's basically just a slanted box, clear plastic top ( I heard later that it was better to use something called "milk glass" or something, but meh) with a flourescent light underneath, connected to the mains.

It suits an amateur like myself just fine. Plus I had the satisfaction of being all hard n manly as I did some DIY.

So, yeah, if you are considering getting a lightbox, making a simple one is always an option. :)

I have no imagination.

I actually considered changing my nick several times, but I guess lots of people know me as I am now anyways, and they'd probably still refer to me as VWG.

What's in a name anyway? Do you make a judgement on someone based on their name? Obviously the nickname here is something they have specifically chosen, so if it is paticularly 1337 (in the bad way), do you think of them as being.....well.....1337 (in the bad way) before you know them?

If their name is a reference to something vaguely intelligent, do you decide they are a great guy/gal before you see what they are actually like?

In short, does someone's username give a small insight into what they are like & how they should be 'judged' (for want of a better word)?

Discuss.

I rather liked it.

One big gif animation was not what I expected, but it was nice to see all of the characters with their own little part in that last credits sequence. Admittedly it wasn't that big on plot, but that wasn't what it was about, it was a nice send off to the series.

'tisn't I.

I'd go with either remixor or Minimi (both Homestar fans) BUT:

a) remixor isn't working on a game as far as I know.
b) I think minimi HAS gone

so.......go get 'em, Sherlock!

Well, for one thing, do you have the speech pack for Fatman? If you got it off Underdogs or some other similar site, chances are the speech pack did not come with it, I have never seen Fatman for free on the net with the speech pack.

If you are sure you do have the pack properly installed? If so, tell us what is wrong exactly, if you please.

oh, let's just stop arguing about this and have some nice makeup sex - I bagsy top!

What does that leave me with?

Flip, I hate to tell you this, but Spy Hard SUCKED.

Well, it didn't SUCK exactly, but there have been better Leslie Neilsen...things. I got bored with Spy Hard rather quickly when I saw it.

But it looks to me as if you did pretty well on the name game, so, as promised:

Roger Moore did the most (he did, right?) but Sean Connery was teh best.. Even though he was Scottish, and all the others are straight up British.

Or maybe Sean Connery IS British... And I'm just an asshole.

Sean Connery was British. They all were.

I think what you MEAN is that Connery was Scottish, whereas the rest were English.
This issue has already been addressed by someone smarter and more attractive and more charismatic and considerably more correct then yourself.

Sorry, Sponge, I just skipped your post because I don't like you very much. :P I read the bit where you said you didn't like Connery & then dismissed the rest of your post as 'ptosh' (yes, ptosh) as anyone who doesn't like Connery is clearly dilousional.

Well, on eBay, someone (ie the seller) bought the game from Lucasarts, and when they sell it to someone else, they no longer have it (in theory). Therefore, the same number of games have been distributed, and Lucasarts loses no money.

When a game is downloaded though, there is no limit to the amount of people who are getting it for free - it doesn't directly trace back to LA, if you see what I mean.

Anyway, my favourite Bond's were Connery & Brosnan (surprise surprise). Although I often wonder if as many people would like Connery if he weren't the first Bond, he was the one to set the trend.

I think if Lazenby had done more than one he could have been a good Bond, & certainly more memorable. But he quit after doing one because his agent told him "there was no future in this type of movie"(apparantly). Man, I hope he fired that agent.....

I think my least favourite Bond was Roger Moore. He played the part too camp in my opinion, and went for the comedy side rather than the action, which is not the direction for the films in general. I mean, you wouldn't expect Leslie Neilsen to play Bond would you?

I can hardly remember individual films though, apart from who played Bond in them. I think they're great n all, but they do all follow the same basic formula. There's nothing paticularly wrong with that, it just makes them harder to distinguish.

These movies still lose out to a TV series in terms of excitement and I think its "24" that the Bond producers should be taking notes on.

I don't think the bond movies should take a leaf from 24's book. Part of what makes 24 work is the main character (Jack Bauer, for those keeping score)'s shade-of-grey type personality, in that he won't always do everything......erm.....'by the book' (for want of a better, less cliched phrase). Also, Bond has no normal, civilian life to cope with, no family to protect, etc etc, so the same sense of drama & tension could not be achieved, in my opinion.

But hey, if you're at work/school right now, try this:

Get your colleagues to name as many of the Bond films as they can, what year they were released, who played Bond & who sang the theme. 20 films (not including Casino Royale), kudos to anyone who gets all 20.

Also, best theme = Live & Let Die. 'nuff said.
