can you tell me how you go about making an animation?Ã,  do you use any software?

I think one thing that makes Mr C's animation so good is the overkill (is this the correct term?).

If you look at the arm especially, it goes a little lower than the final position before snapping back up. This makes it rigid & 'bouncy' in a way, & you'll notice the whole body bounces in the same way a little.

Also, the lines drawn back from the arm as it lowers shows the speed at which it is moving.

The main thing with such an animation is exaggeration. Of course a arm & body would never move exactly like this, but it is what the viewer expects, so it works well.

These are the features which make it such a good animation.

Oh, and also, the body position contributes to this. It demands respect, sucka!

EDIT: Wow. My 500th post may have actually been useful to someone.

Wooop... Miramax and Disney have reached an agreement to publish the film.

Pfft, who really cares anymore?

Now a film with robots....................THAT would be something...............

That still doesn't stop us from being completely scared of this video though.

Good find Flip, as always.

Peter Thomas, I don't think anything else really matters except whether you like the music or not. I don't understand how it makes the music less enjoyable if it was made for money or for the music. It sounds the same.

That is so true.

So many people (I know a lot of people like this) say that they don't like music made for the money & that only sells because of image (like when a boy band does well because of their looks for example), that they only like music because of how it sounds. They say the only factor that influences their opinion is how the final thing sounds. Then they go out of their way to find music which they think is not made for the image or the money.

Surely this contradicts what they have already said?

Let me give an example:

Underground (& therefore 'underated') band A, let's call them.......um.........Mungo & the Sputniks, have been araound for a few years. They have made a couple of albums, released a couple of singles, & have a small fan base. They have not had any best sellers, but their fans claim this is because they are "in it just for the music, maaaaaaaaan".

Anyway, Mungo's fan base grows larger as word get around about how much they rawk. All the friends of the original fans go out & buy their album, the band becomes popular. They get a number one album & single. They have finally found success.

Then the original fan base stops listening to them because they have "sold out, maaaaaaaan. They stopped believing in the music, maaaaaaaaan".

This is not the case at all. The band hasn't changed, they are still playing their number one single just the same as they always have, the only difference is now more people like it.

The difference is that the original fans no longer feel unique. It used to be their band, & only their band. Instead of feeling proud & happy that their favourite band have become successful, they feel, in a way, jealous.

So they go off & find another underground band, so when they become semi-popular they can say "I liked them before they were cool" & when they become popular they can dump them & let the vicious cycle continue.

They claim they don't judge a artist/band by their image, when in fact this is what they actually ARE doing, without really realising it. They are just doing it in a different way from all the teenie boppers (or whatever you call them) who like Justin Timberlake.

I know some people who used to like Homestar Runner, but have gone off it because it has become "too commercial", when in reality it has just become popular.

This is why I don't talk about what music I like too often. I lisen to what I like, & hope that nothing influences my opinion except how it sounds. I am afraid that if I discuss it too much I will become like Mungo's fan base, and become influenced by everything except the music.

It's clear you the thread, Timo (can I call you Timo? Never mind), but it looked as if Farl & Haddas hadn't.

But anyway, it doesn't matter. Let's forget it all & start dancing!

I love how Raggit always acts nice to people wherever he can, yet remains intelligent & can hold his own in a discussion (for example, let's say, about war ).

Also, I noticed Rincewind didn't get any love therefore: I love Rincewind because he is a talented guy, especially in things such as backgrounds & lovemaking.

And, of course, he likes Discworld, so he MUST kick ass.

Let's pause for a moment here guys.

Look at the first post in this thread.

Look at the intelligent discussion that followed.

Funny how things turn out........

Is it really needed?

If someone isn't smart enough to open a zip file by themself, then chances are they won't be able to make a game anyway. :P

u.s.a.

No, he's right - I tried (letter after 't').s.a. here & it doesn't say "post edited ro remove etc etc"

So that's the problem.

The darkening is good, but perhaps keep the eyes bright red as the rest of the scene fades away (like in Ghormak's example)?
#739
I dunno DG, this picture suggests otherwise:

I suggest you hand your crown to Pesty.

Also, on a side note, why were you wearing that cloak, Pesty? You look like Death.........

Here are some little known facts about Bill & Ted:

The year it was released, Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure won every Oscar available at the time (yes, even best actress & foreign film(?)). They had to create TWO best actor awards, one for each of the leads, 'cos Rufus got best supporting. They kept this a secret from everyone though, so the other filmmakers did not get jealous.

Keanu Reeves has admitted that he was so wooden in The Matrix because he 'wanted people to remember him for his role in Bill & Ted'.

Research has shown that if murderers spent less time killing people & more time watching Bill & Ted, then murders across the world would drop by 817%.

Bill & Ted cures all nasty diseases. Yes, even that one you can't pronounce.

George Lucas once said that Star Wars Eps 1 & 2 were worse than the others because he was so distracted by the awesomeness of Bill & Ted.

If Bogus Journey was a women, 7329% of men (& 83% of women) said they would marry it.

The music of Wild Stallions was actually going to be released on an album, but the government decided it was waaaaaaaaaaaaay too awesome, so they banned it from existance

The two films are, in one word: excellent

Ergo, Babloyi (if that IS your real name), I insist that you follow the advice of one Mr Macphee & take that back, lest I rip out your liver & use it to play catch with some angry bears, while you are still attached to it.

That is all.
