Why? If we had 300 posts a month that we had to lock and delete from new people signing up then maybe, but what is it now? twice a month on average?
sorry the last post i drifted.. but what i'm saying is i've been ambling in and out of AGS for over 5 years, and things have got alot harsher towards the misguided, i can think of quite a few members here that had shaky start but  turned out to be good talanted members.. if the reception then was the same as it is now these members may not be around

maybe its time for a newbie forum to widdle out the "the best-est game" and "i need a team" types? and a Mason's, "stand on one leg and tweek ye nipples" to enter forum for the more desirable folk

its quite disturbing how many newbies get ripped apart as soon as they post something, i thought the idea of a forum was to guide and help rather than mock people because of over zealous enthusiasm in something they believe

@Yufster i agree total at what you sed/wrote, kids should be careful what they write, but is kinda alarming the amount of thought you put into your little essay!

You can use your own domain, a subdomain or a directory, you get PHP 4 & 5 and a MySQL database (more if needed). You start out at 75mb maximum, but if you need more just use the contact us page. Enjoy.

have a look here:
http://www.gmacwill.com/lassie/index.shtml
you can build online flash games,, its designed to build point and click games but it could easily be used fr other types
it only requires a small amount of flash understanding to get good results

i thought i'd try and break it by going way back in time.. well the 70's but it managed to find bands such as Slade and the Sex Pistols, the Slade alternatives were a bit lame, but the Sx Pistols ones followed the generic well..
nice :)

"Memory Space" is a term we who areÃ,  unfortunate enough to be parents use to inflict misery onto our kids, we watch you for hours having fun on the computer knowing fine well we probably suck at the games you play or the fact you have friends and we don't coz ours legged it at the first signs of smelly nappies
so we use the term "Memory Space" to remove all your toysÃ,  :P

good idea, it shouldn't be to difficult

i used 3d gamestudio to make a walk through for our house to do decorating ideas, adding walls, where doors needed to beÃ,  that sort of thing

if you wanted a online version LASSIE will support flash soon.. similar concept to ags

General Discussion / Re: MSN Messanger problem
Sat 04/02/2006 10:29:17
are you on a network?..  our second computer had problems signing in,  removing the original messenger did help (you can do it in  add/remove), also if yahoo messenger effects it too, shutting yahoo down while using MSN seems to help
we formatted the second  computer and it helped a lot, so it maybe worth trying a system restore as Guybrush Peepwood said
its still a bit twitchy at times on both computers..
oh is your time and date right? if its wrong it wont sign in

www.3dcafe.com has loads of models etc for 3ds...Ã,  look in the "free stuff" bit
personally i use truespace,, i can do the job faster but detail is its down side, milkshape is good and cheaper than max.. 3D gamestudio modelers swear by it

Thanks. Very nice game. Some of your hotspots become misslabeled after using them though. Like the plate becomes "plate 2" after you move it. and the Car become "car1"

EDIT: 'Effin Brilliant. Thats it. Love the ending.
thx m8 ;D
and thanks for pointing out the hotspots.. the game was kinda a learning thing the next game will be a lot better ;)

Adventure Related Talk & Chat / A LASSIE game
Sat 28/01/2006 18:32:10
the great escape was written by me using LASSIE, the intension was to do a AGS version but due to a BIG computer problem i lost the resource files  :-[
http://www.rottengames.co.uk/uploads/escape1b.zip 8meg

this is the beta version and has a few  sprite problems (transparency glow on inv items) and character animation needs fine tuning but it works!

it was a test game to see what LASSIE was like to use and its ok, lacks a lot of features AGS has,, but AGS would take some beating anyway ;) big benifit for LASSIE in the future is it will create online games (it does now but projects need compiling by the LASSIE owner)

hope you like it.. let me know what you think

thanks to AGA for letting me post this

i must admit when i saw it had been inactive for sooo long i pretty much dismissed it.. i'm cr*p at programming so i need someone at least breathing to bail me out!  ::)

i've given LASSIE a try and i'm impressed, it doesn't have a large script base like AGS but its early days for the project
games need compiling with Macromedia Director to play on the net, but a new LASSIE is on the cards to create a SWF file

LASSIE

my first game
just to see if i could use it! its aÃ,  simple, short game, bit buggy(self inflicted!) this isn't the final version

this post isn't a blatant plug for my game or lassie, i'm following up on what people suggestedÃ,  ;)
