"Слава советской науке!" or "Glory to the Soviet sciense" sounds good but maybe it should be "народной науке" or something. My Russian isn't good at all but the Soviet was doing it all for the people. It was all "people's" back then.

I think, it will be too much. I thought long enough to advice Traveler to take this slogan. Since the soviet science bolongs to people, it is enough to say "soviet science". "Peoples soviet science" sounds chinese or korean, not soviet... :)
I think that traveler does not make some kind of cartoon, where you need a little bit more absourd. It it allready absourd enough to separate science to "soviet" or "american". :) (Since it is possible to separate scientists)

Usually there were some quotes of great scientists in the labs, not slogans. The same thing are pictures. There were a scientists in the labs, Lenins ind the directors room and Dzerzinskis in the police office... :)

* Participants must use the given sprite for their animation.
* Each competition will last 11 days.
* The starter of each competition will decide on the winner.
* The winner will start a new competition as well as supplying a sprite.

The sprite:

It is a Mecha. I'm not really good in mechas, but I hope, You'll like it.Ã,  ;)

You have to animate it somehow.... :)

I found a couple of progs, that could be usefull. Both are vector animation programs. They are FREE.

Synfig (Win,Unix,MacOS)
http://www.synfig.com/

KToon (Unix,MacOS)
http://ktoon.toonka.com/

I don't know if they are good, but I try Synfig right now, and may be somebody want to try the second program.

Where can get them?
Google.

Very funny.Ã,  :-\ I know what google is, but I have to know what to search first, and that was a question...
But thanxÃ,  largopredator, I found Screen Movie Studio. I'll try it...

I know, but sometimes it is better to have a larger movie file, than several smaller game files.
An AGS game is only one file, though. Two if you count the setup program, which you don't strictly need.

I still need *.vox files for example...

Not directly, but there are several tools that let you record directly from your screen and save as AVI or MPEG.

Where can get them?
Can they record the sound to, or only graphics?

Quote from: Radiant on Sun 14/05/2006 23:43:22
The resulting movie file would likely be an order of magnitude larger than the AGS game, though.
(note that AniGIFs have low color depth; and note that SWF is a vector-based format and therefore not particularly suited for this)

I know, but sometimes it is better to have a larger movie file, than several smaller game files.

I hope, it is right place for this question.

Is it possible to make a movie with AGS and save them as AVI/MOV/GIF/MPG/SWF/etc...?
or may be somebody whant to make, this possible (add on)? :)

I mean, it is possible to make a movie (cut scene). I have better control over the charakters as if I would use flash, so I would like to make movies... :)

It would be usefull for demos. So you can show the gameplay and not only screenshoots...

I wasn't first: http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/yabb/index.php?topic=24377.0 this is not a game anymore but moviemaker... :)

#239
it looks cute.Ã,  ;)

I think, you can make him a little bit smaller. IMHO there is no need to make him 228 px high.
You can also try vector graphic (there are a couple of topics right now about that) if you need thin outline. You'll be able to animate it with vector programs like Flash or Moho.

here is my quick entry. Martha the witch:

She has her very own "witch call service"

since she can fly sorry, her broom is more than 50px long.

She usually flyes nacked, but only in the night time. She is ready to show how she make that to jury, if the jury promise her that she'll get the job...Ã, Ã,  ;)
