For the anticipated freeware AGS adventure game: Indiana Jones and the Fountain of Youth (http://www.barnettcollege.com)

We require a C++ programmer, someone familiar with the AGS plugin API - to take on our inhouse AGS Power Tools project for the benefit of our ongoing production.

Thanks to Blaze Sanecki and Tom Vandepoele for their previous work on these tools.

SOME OF THE TOOLS (explained by subspark)

Wander:
AGS lacks a great pathfinder. It's always been a little rusty. One thing you will notice is the obvious lack of accuracy when activating different directions based on the mouse click location relevant to the character's coordinates.
I ran FOA and FOY in two seperate windows and there is a clear discrepancy between the famous SCUMM pathfinder and the clumbsy AGS one.
Wander is a more elaborate walk system. It is also a complete, intergrated solution to our handeling of character color tint, lighting & scaling. You can even fade between different views based on the shade of the pixel beneath the character.

It works like this:

Displacer:
A while back now, I came up with the idea for a full-screen distortion effect based on an animated sprite. This would be usefull for some underwater distortion or heat haze from molten lava.

Heres how it works:

Chrome:
As our proprietary reflection tool, Chrome makes use of 2 or more masks to create stunning character reflections. The first mask is the alpha for the reflection which tells AGS where and where not to draw the reflecting character sprite. The second mask is a walkbehind for the character reflection which acts like a regular walkbehind. It uses baselines to determine if the player is reflected infront of an object or behind. The last mask is an additional walkbehind that adds aditional control over the depth of the reflection as you will see in the following animation:

Please note - the power tools suite will be made public once the game is finished.

Please PM me or email mark@screen7.co.uk if you are interested and want more details on the role.

Thanks!
