The manual at http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/manual/StartingOff.htm has a variety of dead links, i.e. all the links there that go to http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/acintro[number].htm are giving me a 404 error. The error page asked me to report this in the forums, so here I am.
Also the current 404 page image looks a bit blocky and filled with artefacts

So I though, what the heck, I'll clean it up for her

Try this instead. I believe it's the tutorial that used to be on the site

Yes, there's a reason the manual isn't actually linked anywhere on the site anymore! Where did you even see it linked?
It was linked from the main site. After I downloaded AGS I saw the Help and FAQs box on the right hand side of the page:
http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/site/ags/
I clicked on Online Manual, taking me to:
http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/manual/
Then clicked Introduction, going to:
http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/manual/Introduction.htm
From this page, there is a link to the tutorial, with the dead links.
This is how I got from the main site to the links in question :]

Maybe I'm misunderstanding something, AGA, but he's actually right. Not the online manual links itself are broken, but every single link in the menu bar to the lefthand side.

If that's a known issue, I do apologize.
The manual uses the old site design, which links to a lot of pages and images that no longer exist. I did have plans to recreate the manual using the new design, but never got around to it.
So the manual for 3.2.1 is now back. It doesn't match the style of the rest of the site for the time being, but at least all the links work!
Was kind of worried the old version might put people off or confuse new users. I for one never download
software without having at least a fleeting glimps in the manual beforehand.
It looks great now and it navigates very easily - great improvement for new AGS kids...
Thanks a lot, AGA.
The system works really well, yeah. I just need to work out how to skin it to look like the rest of the site.

Taken out of context, that sounds so wrong on so many levels!
Probably shouldn't be too high on your priorty list, AGA - honestly, it looks really great. Crisp, clear, Concise.
And the difference in design is almost marginal and not that much of a stretch.
edit: Got one more though:
Navigating to http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/site/ags/ (http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/site/ags/) and selecting 'Scripting Tutorial':
The 1rst Scritping Tutorial page http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/site/ags/tutorial/scripting/1/ (http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/site/ags/tutorial/scripting/1/)
displays fine.
But if you click on the link at the bottom of that page Tutorial Chapter 2 - The Patronising Text Returns (http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/site/ags/tutorial/1/) [http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/site/ags/tutorial/1/]
it'll return an "empty" page.
edit2: Arrrhh, hate to swamp you like this. Just realised most of those "bottom links" are broken.
For example:
On GUI Scripting - Part 1 (http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/site/ags/tutorial/gui/1/),
the Return to tutorials index (http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/site/ags/intro/)
And all those links refering to consecutive pages:
AGS download page -> Getting Started with AGS -> Part 1 - Creating the game, and palette setup ->
Go to part 2: Creating your first room (http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/site/ags/intro/2/)
Don't worry about it. It's better someone lets me know and I fix it than it remain broken!
I think all the links should be fixed now. If you want to take a quick double check though, that'd help.
Went through each category and those links seem to work fine.
Will post one more point in the 'AGS FAQ Seems Outdated' (http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/forums/index.php?topic=47951.0) thread.
