Good point. I had to look that up, and now I feel embarrassed .

It's not exactly an everyday word though.

For others' benefit, Occidental means "Western" and so non-Occidental means non-Western.

Hmmm... can't make out the writing or the ethnicity of the dude with any confidence, other than that they both look East Asian... There's a cell on the left, so this is a police station. Rotary phone seems to place it in the past (though who knows when Asian police stations completed the switch to button-press phones?), but by the picture quality the film looks newer. IMDB Top 250, so relatively well known...
