Title: Beautiful Garden Bumblebee
Post by: arj0n on Sat 28/06/2014 22:24:03
Just thought to share this video I made today of a beautiful garden
bumblebee, working his yellow ass off in the flower boxes on my balcony.
Music: "Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy" by Tchaikovsky (1892)

Enjoy nature's beauty :-)

Thanx Captain :)
Cat, I give them a liter of water every two days, they have an insatiable thirst...
Gurok: Tried. if I got closer the Bumblebee simply flew away. This was the closed possible.

Here's some nice still though, these little wings are awesome:

Fun fact: Science has been proven that bumblebees are too heavy to fly. The current theory is that they're powered by the rare isotope idontcareium.

Sweet video!

Wasn't it aerodynamics that said bumblebees couldn't fly? Guess science could use some updating.

That's a very cute video Arjon. I kept a hive of honey bees for a short while, it's a brilliant and rewarding hobby for anybody with the time/patience to get it up and running.
