At 5:09 mark of the latest episode of Zero Punctuation (http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/view/zero-punctuation/8120-Killer-Is-Dead) Yahtzee is seen holding a blue cup not unlike the logo of our dear game engine. Is it an intentional reference? Is it a divine sign? It is a conspiracy? Let's speculate!

Spoiler
Personally I think it's a playful reference intentionally meant to trick AGSers into thinking it's meaningful when it's actually not. But it could be a subtle Valve-style reference to him working on another AGS game. And of course it's still likely to be completely unintentional altogether.
(I do hope this fairly innocent silliness is acceptable)
Who is that Yahtzee guy everyone keeps talking about?
Isn't he the author of 5 Days a Stranger, 6 Days a Sacrifice and 7 Days a Skeptic?
nemoes! lol!
isn't he the author of this (http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/site/games/game/1016/)? :P ;-D
It hurts so much when a silly joke backfires, goes unnoticed, or just fizzles :=. Hey, the man's a legend. Everyone who knows AGS and how to make a personal avatar knows Yahtzee. A slightly smaller number of people knows how to write "Yahtzee" without checking a dictionary. Still a few less people PLAY Yahtzee. And a very small number of those manages to win at the game.
But on topic: I am with nemo here, there is a hidden message. Let's analyze it. Let's be all analytical, and if that fails, let's be anal about it.
!) Many cups are blue.
twhO) Blue is a nice colour and goes well with the overall colour sheme of the ZP videos.
Sree!) It's also one of the more pricey colours, so it may be a take that at consumerism, just like the original Dawn of the Dead was.
FORE) So the epileptic tree just trembles, and the subliminal message is revealed!
Consussion: Yahtzee has never left at all, he's been hiding in Babar's attic all the time, and just now he's rolling the die. The number he rolls, that many games he will buy tomorrow.
[edit]
NO! WAIT!
If you tilt your head a little, and squint, and then tilt the monitor a little too, AND have Minecraft running in the background, see, then the cup looks a bit like a roll of toilet paper hanging from a ( - shaped shape.
The meaning? Hell if I know. Is AGS better than toilet paper? Are AGSers using BLUE toilet paper? Does Yathzee record his episodes while on the toilet, secretly playing AGS games there?
The game's afoot!

I'm forty years old, dude It's more like "Paunchy"
I think we have managed to derail this thread.
So this means Half Life 3, right?

We're getting Tex Murphy 6, so anything is possible!
Blade Runner?
Don't be blasphemous, stu!
God, just when I was forgetting Yahtzee...
Haha yeah! I noticed this too when I saw the video the other week and it immediately stood out! I'm pretty sure Yahtzee understands the use of "signs" or whatever they were called in media studies. Considering his videos are full of these, every image he uses being one of these "signs" (ie images recognised by certain cultures etc) then it holds weight to the "it's an AGS reference" theory. So, I think it's intentional - as to why, not sure...
But I'm generally never right about anything so it was probably just the first color his mouse hovered across when he was selecting the fill tool. There had been rumors of him using AGS again for a couple of years now elsewhere on the net, or at least writing another adventure game, I think... Still, it's an interesting sighting. Guess it'll remain a bit like a myth from GTA for now, generally unproven ;) Even tho tools like me are still looking for Bigfoot in S.A.. :P
PS. Didn't one of his games at the end have a message along the lines of "Ha, AGS community you didn't notice me whilst making this game!" suggesting he still reads/uses the forum under a different name? Y'know, the Icey theory may not be as far fetched as it seems......!

Yeah, it was 7 Days a Skeptic!
IYahtzee could have been posting daily for years and no one has foundmeout so far.
Here's a question for the Veterans of the forum, did AGS turn Yahtzee into a monster or was it the other way around? ???

Veterans of this forum don't talk about Yahtzee
If we want to find Yahtzee's smurf account, we should probably start by looking at registrations around the time he left, probably a couple months later. Hmmm.

Are IP addresses recorded? What about comparing those? (laugh)
So why did he leave? Is it a sore subject?Edit: After reading some old threads on where the eff is Yahtzee, forget I asked.
Haha...I can't imagine anyone finds it a sore subject, he "left" the forums 10 years ago. But clearly even that isn't the case, he just stopped interacting with it...
After talking about it at Mittens and finding his...smurf? account... the consensus was, "Who cares?" :P
He's one of many who have "left" only to remain lurking.

Maybe the Blue Cup nod (if it was even a nod) was his little way of marking the 10th Anniversary of his departure from AGS. (wtf)

Which people do you know that left but still lurk?
A few years ago whilst I was studying at university (around the time when ZP kicked off), a friend of mine watched them religiously whenever they came out and thought they were brilliant. I pointed out that Yahtzee had made some brilliant games in AGS but he didn't seem interested. Sad really, since we were both studying for a Games Technology degree. Yahtzee ending up becoming more popular for his ranting and whining than he ever did for his games.
I used to enjoy the ZP stuff when it started, but I guess the novelty wore off. I think he tries to hard to be funny in some of the episodes..
Ah well, maybe one day he will actually start making games again. I look forward to that
I've asked him several times to go commercial under S7 but never had a reply on that one, despite his many mentions elsewhere of wanting to dip into the commercial realm. Presumably he's waiting for TellTale or someone to ask ;)
On the street, just about anyone (even people I've never met before) know him via ZP, but none of them seem to know about his games.. Must admit I watch them religiously still because they give me more laughs than an episode of simpsons or family guy, and his enjoyment of adventure games still resonates in many of the videos. And you have strange little occurrences like this thread is about every so often... Not stalking him or anything tho ;)
As for those who still lurk, pick some veterans and see their profile page under "Last online" ;) Example, we haven't heard from this gentleman (http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/forums/index.php?action=profile;u=29) for about a decade either.
