Solution (though I'm not sure how best to phrase it): One point for every word (or string of letters, even if it is just one letter) which, when spoken phonetically, contains only vowel sounds (or semivowels such as /j/).

According to Merriam Webster, it depends.

I have learned at school that vowels are a, e, i, o, u, so I went with that.

Ah good, that's what I learned too, but since English isn't my first language and we didn't even had Y on our alphabet back then, I wasn't sure.

Ahh damn. I knew it was vowel-related but didn't quite hit the nail in the head. My theory worked on Mandle's 11-pointer, so I was pretty confident I was on the right track. Oh well. Good work Cassie.
