Thanks everyone! Actually, it was Danvzare's comment about random numbers that made me think to check for sequences. The pi clues all made sense afterwards though, Stupot. "Think outside the circle!" LOL

Solution: A point for every attached double letters in a word (ie: really). A point for each duplicate word but 2 points for each duplicate word within a sentence. [or so that's how it has actually fallen into play - unless I've missed something]
