My MAGS entry for December 2010: "Discovery"
Little Sharon is afraid of the dark, what will await her when she goes to sleep?
The game is done in 32-bit color, but I did stick to an 8-bit palette. Certain effects only work with 32-bit, so using that was necessary.

Though it suffers from some technical corner-cutting, and a total lack of sound or music, this is a surprisingly enjoyable story, told in a simple but effective way.

A somewhat disturbing journey into the mind of a troubled 8 year old struggling to control her anxiety. The strong focus on storytelling takes it toll on the puzzles, the verb coin is a bit awkward and there is no sound or music, but if you can appreciate a game for its backstory, cool NPC and…

I thought it was a good story, well-told and nicely drawn for the most part.
My only criticism would be that the fly was drawn a bit too simplistic, it didn't fit well with the art style of the other drawings and its hotspot was difficult to click at when it was moving.
But apart from that, I really liked it - hats off! Are you planning to add music and sound? That would make it even more enjoyable. :)
I liked this...it's a good child-against-creepy-magic-enemies story. It reminded me of the Sandman series a bit. :) The verbcoin was a little troublesome, since it was easy to select the wrong function by accident. Great work for a first game, you should fill it out into a longer one and add more rooms/puzzles to the Depths, I'd definitely play it!
Interesting game about a girl and her fear for darkness. I didn't like the puzzles and overall you feel "forced" to do some actions, nontheless this is well worth to play for the atmosphere and a couple of very interesting NPCs!
