Great game especially considering the condensed time frame!
The ambiguous nature of the pixel art and marquee-size text descriptions that drip-feed scant few details to the player serve as a major hook and keep them (me) wanting to solve the puzzle of what the actual heck is going on, what the "corruption" actually is. Classic "breaking out of the box" sci-fi mystery fare.

Music and graphics are ultra-simple but equally effective, and nostalgia-inducing.

5/5. I liked it so much, I even did a let's play! (Check it out through the link below)

A very original and affecting short game. All of the elements of art, sound, and presentation work together towards a haunting feel.
Amazing MAGs entry, doubly impressive that is a complete game and story that doesn't feel like a demo or cut short.

That said, I'd love to see a continuation of this character's story.

Awesome stuff, full of atmosphere, can't wait to see what you do for the remaining 10 MAGS :D

It's been a bit of a crazy ride that's for sure. I decided to set myself a challenge at the start of this year. I said I would boot up my copy of Adventure Game Studio and I would enter each of their monthly competitions, Jan to Dec.

Well, I had a pretty miserable attempt in January (although proud of the game 'Starlit Grave') - I tried to make a game that would take me a year, in the space of 10 days, oops :P.

February went a lot better, I had less on at work so IAMJASON was born. It's probably had about 1000 downloads now and has been reviewed on RPS and indiegames.com. I'm incredibly flattered by the response and am truely grateful to all of those that have taken their time to rate and comment. I shall be paying back that compliment as soon as I can!

Although the promo and marketing has taken it's time for IAMJASON I am still working on my next game, so look out for Aractaur in the next week or so!

Thanks,

Calico Reverie.

I'm impressed the developer made this in one month.
Lovely pixel gfx, brillian use of the GUis in general, expecially for the texts, great concept and superb atmosphere make this game unique.
The large amount of locations and interactions is stunning, especially thinking that it's a mags entry.
Just minor glitches near the end of the game, but considering it was made in a month, it's normal. I'm sure the developer will polish and makes it beyond perfect.
But, it's already a 5/5 cups!
