1985
In the future, an alien race called Grebleips hand out a technology to the humans that will help them to fight machines. So the machines send a T-800 back in time to eliminate E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, the first alien contact. The being is discovered and befriended with a boy named Marty Mcfly. Marty has the courage to help a friendly alien to escape from Earth and return to his homeworld.
1955
The machines send a T-1000 back in time to eliminate the inventor of time travel, Dr. Emmet Brown, but a T-800 appears to protect him. Now the race is on to protect Dr. Brown and send Marty back to the future before all hope is lost.

This game is a mashup of different franchises, as the blurb and the screenshots will tell you. If you do not think this sounds like a good idea, you may detract one cup from the rating. The clash between the characters from different movies or games result in a lot of funny situations, and this type of humor is the game's forte. On the downside, it is (obviously) derivative, and often implements a bare minimum of interactions possible for advancing the story. This does in itself make it easier to progress.

I had a really good time with this. But if you don't think having Marty McFly saving E.T. from a Terminator sounds like a good idea, stay away. That's the kind of crazy humour the game utilizes.
