About

(Any problems downloading, paste the following link into your browser: http://www.equilibriumfans.com/downloads/EQGame.zip)

EDIT: The download link has now been fixed; the person running the fansite and hosting the download didn't bother telling me she'd changed her URL. I am so sorry it's taken me this long! Tested it now and it works great.

There are bugs (described below). Unfortunately I no longer have the acrdata file and so I can't fix them (this was the first game I ever made and the PC I made it on was replaced some time ago). The best I can do is tell you how to get around them here.

Ever wondered what it might be like if you could enter the world of your favourite movie, knowing what was going to happen to the people there? Don't such things usually only happen in movies and computer games?

Rosaline Shaw is about to find out otherwise. Thrown into a not-so-strange, somewhat familiar world, her one goal is to stay alive long enough to get home, though if that Preston guy's available for a date, she might consider staying slightly longer.

(Author's Note: This game was written as a fangame to the movie Equilibrium. If you haven't seen this, one or two things may not make immediate sense to you, though the story should be pretty much intact ;))

Saving Problems: The Save before Quitting GUI has a bug in it; if you save by this method, you'll most likely have problems restoring at a later date. To avoid it, simply save BEFORE clicking on the Quit button and that should sort it :) Will try and get this fixed for the sequel.

Also, make sure to save the game EVERY TIME before leaving the tunnel system. I don't know why-it's not a scripting bug-but sometimes the game crashes. It will work eventually, but can be frustrating. (Edit: if you go through the tunnels as Rosaline, this seems to iron out that bug; thanks to Maggie for pointing this out :D)

I played this game 3 years ago and I still think about it sometimes. This is very well done...quibbling with the walking is nothing compared to the scope and the feel of the game for me. I sincerely hope you continue to make games.

I'd have to say this--that you did a good job making the game.

I was in the middle of game and quit actually (I didn't give up though) --but it wasn't because it was bad or anything like that. I honestly wish more games would be made like this one though.

I quit playing it because I had more important things to do. : )
