I found this through the Lucky Dip. Overall, it's a good game, the graphics are simple but they suit the plot twist. The worst aspect of the game may be the puzzles, they were too illogical and required by far too much guessing and pixel hunting.
this game was GREAT!! i would recommend to everyone: Play this game!!
this game was GREAT fun, I would recommend everyone trying this game.
He's Gone Historical was a game that really surprised me. It was a reasonably small download with no screenshot so my expectations were low. It turned out to be a charming little game.
He's Gone Historical is a comedy in two very distinct acts. The first part of the game is a more domestic adventure set on a university campus. Then, half way through the game suddenly becomes a medieval adventure with wizards, pirates and dragons. There is a pleasing game length and some nice retro graphics which were apparantly painstakingly drawn pixel by pixel.
The game has its flaws. Some of the humour falls a little flat, opting for lazy surrealism and dull references. Also, the second part of the game is rather complex with some confusing puzzles where you have to exhaust all the conversation options with the right person at the exact right time. Still, having said that, the puzzles are largely quite logical and much of the dialogue is very funny indeed.
All in all, He's Gone Historical is a very enjoyable first effort and I would definitely love to see a sequel surface sometime in the future.
Superb game! My pick of the bunch!
