The AGS Panel is a team of AGS forum veterans who play all of the games here, and give them ratings from one to five cups. The rating system is as follows:
1 Cup Not serious entertainment
2 Cups A reasonable game, worth a try
3 Cups A good game, worth playing
4 Cups A great game, well worth your time
5 Cups An outstanding, must-play game!
Feel free to disagree with the panel's rating, and please don't be offended if you think your game has been underrated!

(Why has my game been rated 1 cup?)

Close window
If your game has been rated 1 cup, please don't be offended! It's common for your first game release to get a 1-cup rating, due to the game having a lack of polish and flair -- which is understandable, because you're just getting started!

Please understand that the main purpose of the ratings is to help potential game players find high quality, bug-free games to play. You've probably learnt a lot about AGS as a result of making your first game -- so why not use that knowledge to start afresh, and do even better with your next game!

About this game

A saddened young boy on Earth questions if anyone knows he's alive.

In fact, he questions if even God cares.

A beautiful angel skunk lady named Rosaura Docelestial is on a mission to rescue the boy from his own despair.

This is for June 2017 MAGS. The theme is "Rescue". This game sort of has a different approach to that theme.

[Update] Fixed (hopefully) the volume and speed, as well as the text covering up the cutscenes is also so it won't.

[Update 2] Mandle told me how to fix the volume so hopefully it won't be so blaring loud now.

A simple game full of good intentions. I wish the angel could have really helped the boy solve his problems. Consoling him was a start.

Lovely game! (nod) Very sweet story, clear goals and nice with a variety of locations. The music was also very fitting. Puzzles were simple and not too hard, which balanced just fine with the overall of the game.
I do fell you could have spent some of the extra time polishing the art, as the main character deserved a proper walk-cycle, IMHO.
Still, it was refreshing playing this leaving one with a sense of having done a good dead.

While there is definitively room for improvement, this game is pretty good for a first-time project, and the story is very sweet and charming!

Fantastic job for a first-time AGS developer. And this guy finished first -- he should unlock the Speedy Gonzales achievement or something!

Loved the game, very sweet and kind-hearted, that's just about helping people out and being a good person just because. Kind of refreshing in that way.

Great work man!

Fantastic atmosphere, especially with your music choice, at times it felt like a Ghibli movie or classic jrpg!
The scenario which the game is based on I thought really interesting.
I was very surprised to see you enter this game only a week or so after the contest had been announced. Like others I definitely feel the game could have benefited with a bit more attention to details and features that could have been done with extra time worked on it. I would love to see you make an improved version of this, and perhaps work a bit more on the player walk/movement which I think is pretty OK as it is, but you seem to be missing a frame or two in the animation to complete the walk cycle?
Asides from that I really though this was charming, and the theme in particular was very clever, its a very strong theme to build a game around.

Even though I thought you entered this way too early, well done anyway on getting it complete, and I hope to see more from you soon!

This game has a lovely story. The puzzles are well thought out and the music works well to add the right kind of atmosphere. There is a nice range of characters to interact with, too. The graphics could be better, but it is clear what everything is supposed to be. Overall, a good effort.

I enjoyed this. Could have done with a bit of polish but it's a charming game. Great job in the time you did it.
