I got stuck and had to ask for a hint, mainly due to some not so great interaction feedback. There are just a few puzzles (it's a very short game) and they are okay concept-wise, but the implementation needs some work.
The graphics look good, though the missing left/right walkcycle for the main character is a bit disappointing, especially in a game that is just one long room.
This little game shows promise, but is at the moment rather unpolished. I'm looking forward to more polished games from this creator.
Just a few touches and adjustments and this would vastly improve this game which I enjoyed. Pleasing graphics... Good first game...
I loved the artwork for this game SO much! I thought it was a real visual treat, and I'm amazed that it was put together in a single month. I also thought the sound design was really wonderful, each action had a well-chosen sound to add extra personality. I feel the 9-verb interface didn't really add anything, I think "Use" and "Examine" would have been better as there was rarely a moment where you needed to do anything else. The puzzles were a little clunky and a touch frustrating but not completely unsolvable. The humour wasn't always particularly to my taste but it did get a few chuckles out of me! Overall I think this is a AMAZING effort for a first game, despite its shortcomings.
For a first game, this shows some promise. Very nice intro and small animations, and a fun one-room game. While unpolished due to time restraints in the mags competition, there are a couple of nice puzzles. The humour may be a bit juvenile with sexual innuendo and some jabs at a certain president, so it won't appeal to everybody.
