:well, this makes it hard for people to check whether their 'user talk:' has been changed, since its link in the top right corner won't be bold anymore. in contrast to (probably) popular opinion i'd keep 'user:' and 'username' pages separate. i certainly don't like people to mess with my User:Hajo page since it's for introducing myself, but i don't mind people editing Hajo. keeping those pages separate seems to be natural to me, one is 'your own' page, with which i can do whatever i want. the other is(well, could/should be) an article about you, written npov and is not owned by anyone. :) Hajo 02:43, 5 May 2007 (CEST)

I agreed with Hajo, IMO the User: page is like a user profile, while the other is a wiki article, so the User: page is more "personal" stuff. That's why I protected my own User:Gilbert page from editting, while the Gilbert article page was free for editing. In fact these two pages did have different contents (nothing serious though)so I was actually not very happy when the article page was deleted (there wasn't much content though, so let it go) Gilbot 04:23, 8 May 2007 (CEST)
