Recently, the new deluxe edition was completed, presenting a slightly different version of these events. | |||
The deluxe version starts with Ben Jordan telling the story, revealing his backstory. Then, he receives a phone call from a ranger named Ranger Morales about some murders caused by a monster known as Skunk-Ape, after a discouraged talk with his dissapointed mother. | |||
The rest of the game's story is nearly identical to the original version, with only a few minor changes at the end. | |||
After Rick is killed by the Skunk-Ape, Ben runs away and reaches a little house. The owner of the house, a middle-aged man named Jed, lets him in. Ben tells Jed about the Skunk-Ape and Jed says that he is going to call a friend to escort Ben back to the park, but Ben discovers a huge pile of cocaine in the house, and Jed reveals that he is controlling the Skunk-Ape. He explains that he took control of the Skunk-Ape by giving him cocaine and fitting it with an electric collar. Jed calls the Skunk-Ape to kill Ben, but Ben throws the drugs at Jed, causing the Skunk-Ape to eat him. | |||

After the credits, we see a moustached old man talking to a man dressed as a monk in Rome, Italy.
