http://www.mixnmojo.com/ states that LucasArts Entertainment Company is no more.   Well, its just had a name change.  No longer will it be called LucasArts Entertainment Company... but now... LucasArts.  But the full name is LucasArts, a Lucasfilm Ltd. Company.  

No longer will you be allowed to call it LEC, but LA or LAALFLC is the way to go.

You will be flamed for not adhering to the new acronyms now stated.  You have been warned.

...or not.  The name change is one thing, but this merger rather frightens me.  I know this isn't exactly news anymore, but I find it slightly worrying that, while licensing has never been something George is stingy about, it'll probably be even easier now.

which is what you just mentioned, I think in GF and CMI it's called that already so it can't be that new.

I just watched the end credits of CMI and I wasn't wrong when I said it was LLC, it is "LucasArts Entertainment Company LLC"

So LEC was just short for "LEC LLC"

It's just a division of a company that figured it needed a name change, or other people are involved or both.
