Please understand that the main purpose of the ratings is to help potential game players find high quality, bug-free games to play. You've probably learnt a lot about AGS as a result of making your first game -- so why not use that knowledge to start afresh, and do even better with your next game!
About this gameConcurrence is a so called cinematic platform game. Unlike other platform games you will know (like Super Mario Bros. or Sonic the Hedgehog), this game focuses on realisitic movements, puzzles and a dense atmosphere. If you have played games like Prince of Persia, Another World or Flashback you will know what awaits you. Many of parts of the game will require precise jumping and you might feel a little frustrated at the beginning. But dont despair, study the movements described in this manual and keep on practicing and you will find that it isnt so hard after all (you also have unlimited continues). This version was done for the april 2011 Monthly Adventure Game Studio Competition (MAGS) and does not feature the full game. Its more of a demo. The finished version will follow sometime 2011.

AGS Panel Review
"Wonderful production values and atmosphere. And the cheek to compete with Another World in stylishness and gameplay! Somewhat shaky controls and lack of finality in the plot reveal this game is meant as a prototype for an even more accomplished adventure."

but,, I have to say, ultimately the jumping became too frustrating, slow and annoying, especially with ags' unresponsive controls,
you soon end up in a never ending retry loop,
kinda ruined the whole game experience imo, too bad cause the plot and setting seemed really amazing!
I love the style, since it really brings me back to Another World, Flashback, etc.
Emotional deepness generated by background art and by silence.
Congrats, I'm looking forward to the full game :)
