I'mma using the 2.6 I've already changed my palete (even started a new game and changed the pallete) Anytime I try to import my 32 bit rooms it gives me an error That I need to check the filename or bit depth (must be an 8 or 16 bit image)

could someone shed some light on this?

MrColossal

are you using BMPs? this happened to me and i never tried to figure out what i did wrong so try saving it as a PCX and see how it works

Dont have pcx saving, but I saved it as a png and it went in fine.... Hrm... maybe CJ should have a look at that :)

Hmm, well that's a typo in the error message, you should be able to import 32-bit ones too. Could you upload a BMP file which demonstrates the problem? The ones I've tried saving from PSP work fine.

This may have something to do with GraphicsGale, but I dont know for sure.

EDIT:

Oddly enough when I uploaded it it set it as a 24bit bitmap... odd...

Microsoft is compressing BMPs to save space ._.
Typically Gates to do something like that ._.
Veteran, writer... with loads of unreleased games. Work in progress.

Yeah, that's not a BMP file, MSN must have messed it up. Could you zip the bmp into a zip file, and upload that?

Pumaman

Thanks for uploading it - yep, it doesn't import for me either, so I'll look into the problem.
