Suggestion: 2X windowed gameplay view

For the maniacs like me who run their computer on 1600x1200 resolution easily, there could be an option to play a 640x480 game in windowed mode, but in a 2X view so it isn't so small. I mean, sure, someone could just reduce their resolution, but wouldn't it be a neat little option? Hmmmm? I doubt it would be that hard to implement, for some weirdos like me to use.

Yeah, this has been requested before and I think it's on my to-do list somewhere. I'll try and get round to it at some point.

What Rich asked for is the same as running 320x200 with 640x400 windowed, so I think the same option would be usefull for 640x400 games too.

Well it's actually different.

What he meaned is just REALLY running the game in 640x400 and have it's DISPLAYED resolution doubled (well it's 4x actually...) in window mode (so it won't look so small under crazily hi-res desktops.
It's different from the current treatment of setting up a 320x200 game to run in 640x400, as currently setting up a game to run at higher res does MORE than just doubling (errr 4x) the displayed resolution, as the graphics are indeed drawn in hi-res (eg, if you have a hires bg, hires walkbehinds, and scaled characters may look better).

I too would appreciate a feature such as this.  My monitor is very small, but I prefer to cram a lot on it.
