Do your best, Darty! It'd be cool if you came too, and if bringing somebody with you is a condition, I certainly have no objections. The more the merrier.

Oh, and Laya...too bad, I was looking forward to sharing pub-stories with you! This could have become the first mittens with australia represented:)

Andail

Darn, how could I forget him?
I think my job rapidly destroys my braincells. After three more weeks, I'll be happy if I even remember to turn up at mittens.
Sigh.

Pumaman

Blimey, only 18 days until Mittens, how time flies!!

So, who has booked their flights? How many confirmed attendees do we have?

That's 18! Dart might be coming as well, but she hasn't been around in a while.

Btw. are you Brits, jetxl and anyone else arriving before me planning to spend the night at the airport? Also, what is the the tent situation? Some of you are going to rent a tent, but I'm planning to take a tent with me. It'll hold at least 2 people + luggage comfortably so there is room for someone who isn't taking a tent...

And finally, yes! A bit over 2 weeks to go!

There's this tent-issue then. I prefer not to bring a tent, as I hate checking in baggage. Of course, if there aren't enough tents, I'll bring one anyway. Being not very extensive along the x-axis, I can fit in most anywhere.
Guitars? Who'll bring?
Show and tell material?

Goldmund

Aye, we're booked!!11!
I'm verry happpy... Petter, remeber to take your guitar to honey our ears with delicate plunking and a zany rhyme!

The only problem before me is my flight-fright... expect another photos of drugged-up Goldmund above the clouds...

Grundislav

Don't worry, Goldmund. If you get flight fright, just remember that Grundislav has to fly for 14 hours to get there.

In other words, I'll be drugged up too!

2ma2

Gold, you flying with LOT?

I have the same feeling as Petter, prefer not to bring a tent, but will make an effort if I have to. So rollcheckk?

I will bring: Eh.. apart from clothes an such.. um.. money? What can I bring that would benefit the crew in the slightest way. Oh, I'll bring pen and paper for sure, but I wonder if it'd be beneficial.

I will not bring: The guitar nor a tent (unless, you know.. but definatly no guitar).

m0ds

Great to hear Goldy, Grundy and 2'marty are all booked! :P

Andail - out of curiosity, are you travelling with a mere single bag again? That was cool! I'm tempted to condense all I bring to Mittens into a singular bag.

If so I'll want to bring
- My tent
- T-shirts, shorts + trousers + underpantsssss
- A notepad.exe
- AGS annuals courtesy of Goble Interactive (and other AGS related and project related things!)
- Swimming shorts + towel
- Washing, teeth cleaning & stuff

HELM - would you recommend us bringing a plate and knife and fork or anything? I don't know what your budget is, or you plan for things like food and their implements like cuttlery. At Brittens we just bought a load of paper plates.

And anything else I should add to my list?

2ma2, if you could bring a crate of Lucozade that'd be nice, then perhaps the rest of us would stand a Mit-Olympic chance against you..! :P

Disco

I shall bring a chair (if necessary) and some info and sketches of my game. Renting a tent is my option, who else is going to rent? I'm guessing there are 16 people who have yet to disclose their tent ability or desire, with that many people plus luggage we might only need to rent 3-4 large tents.

By the way, I will not bring a guitar, am a vegetarian, and planned on sleeping at the airport while after everyone arrives. I think that answers a few posts :P.

Pet Terry

It seems I will have to bring a backbag and the huge bag I had with me at Brittens last year.

I will bring camping equipment (tent, sleeping bag, air mattress for additional comfort), spare clothes (t-shirts and underwaers mainly as it'll probably be very warm during whole Mittens), swimming shorts and towel of course, hygiene stuff, Mittens special exclusive showcase thing!1 ("show & tell material" of some projects, printed on paper just in case noone brings a laptop), bluecup, some books to read during the journey, Lemon Demon's two latest albums, my sketchbook and pens, enough money for the whole trip... uh, what else? Well a camera of course...

2ma2: nope, I found that wizzair (a hungarian airline) is much cheaper, we have to change planes in Budapest, though.

I shall also rent a tent, it may be a couple of euros a day extra, but it should save the hassle of lugging one onto the plane. That's if we need one at all of course, the minimum night time temperature is apparently 25 C, so sleeping in the open air is probably perfectly feasible.

Helm

hehe apparently most people will be renting tents. I know I am gonna. Well that'll even out between us money-wise.

I won't be bringing guitars, because  I have no case for my classical one. I guess having more than one around is nice if we want to improvise a duet or anything, but there's bound to be a guitar there as well.

I urge people to bring ags-game material to pimp to each other. I'll be bringing paper and drawing implements so 2ma2, they'll be useful, I think.

The paper dishes and stuff sound good. We probably won't need them ( one meal a day is paid for... no dishes per day not being paid for by default sounds strange, no?) but you never know...
WINTERKILL

Chrille

I can bring a tent if necessary, it's a small tent though with barely room for 2, so I think I'd rather rent one down there.

I'll bring my digital camera to take photos of drugged-up people at the airport, provided I don't get on the wrong plane while stopping in Amsterdam. It's unlikely. But when it comes to me, anything is possible!

Helm

No way you're worse than me. The fact that I was able to go to sweden and return while only having lost one pair of pants is a small miracle.
WINTERKILL

Pet Terry

I guess I too will be renting a tent after all. It won't be that much more expensive (especially if we rent few large ones and split the price between us) and I don't need to lug a super heavy bag with me. So yay to that.

Glod: Budapest? Cool!

mods: I reckon I am no longer a threat in ANYTHING seeminly athletic since the last years have reduced my former physical glory to a thin, heap of anorectic proportions. But booz is still booze, but I won't bring, I'll buy it down there  :=

Renting tents seem like the way to do it. Could you, Helm, look up the possebilities and show us some possible numbers?

I will however still only bring money and pen and paper. Spare clothes, bah! Hygien articles? Pffft!.. but I'll bring some dice or cards if there's the slightest interest in some roleplaying.
