Hello All,

Wondering what the current legalities (if any) pertain to releasing a game made with AGS commercially. I remember back in the day you had to specifically ask Chris Jones for permission or something to that regard.

Any insight/links/direction would be much appreciated.

Cheers.

I am not sure about very old versions, but as long as I remember (many years) making games commercially with AGS is completely free.
Also, AGS engine is open source and free to modify now.
The only possible issue is licensing MP3 support, but you can use no-MP3 version of the engine and play OGG music instead.

Commercial AGS games are released every year.
