Whether this is a joke or not, I can't see everybody happy in either situation. Some people seem really excited. I wonder if maybe they'll keep AGS and Wintermute the same, but then make WMGS a whole new engine. That would probably please the crowd anyway. Also, if this is NOT a joke, then why pick the day before April 1st to tell everyone? Why not wait until after where noone would be worried about getting their hopes up?

You guys are too easy to fool, of course it's an April Fool's Day joke.

Watch, at the end of the day or a couple of days from now everything will return back to normal.

The same thing happened with the shareware version of AGS. It was made to be so believable that it couldn't possibly have been a joke even if it was on the 1st of April. It is a joke and I have my final word on that. A very good one at that though, I'm not critizising it but it's not the truth, just a wonderfully crafted prank.

Yes, it was an April Fool. I really didn't expect anyone to believe it, given that it said things like

I apologise to the people whose posts I deleted because they revealed it was a fool early on, but I have to ask you this:
Once you realise it's an april fool, why do you feel the need to post "April Fool LOL" or "Haha good one"? Surely it's more fun to play along, consider yourself smart and see who else falls for it, rather than spoiling the fun?

(Gmail was released on April 1st, 2004, and people thought it was a joke... I mean, one gig of space? no stupid ads? no "newsletter" e-mails from Google? nahh... can't be real. You may notice that their logo has candles and confetti today.)

Because I know, that some people don't consider things like this fun. Maybe you think it's no big deal, I, too, think that way. But I know that others don't. So I gave a little hint for those, who didn't understand the April Fool, either because they don't have things like that in their home, or they just didn't realize it (although there was this blue "April Fools Day" label on the calender on bottom of the page).

But it really was a good one! One of the most sophisticated April Fools I know.

I'm wondering how you gonna top it next year

Yes, just like thingy said! I could see people were getting worked up over it so I spilled the beans. Also, it showed I is smart.

Here in Spain April's fool is on 28th of December, so, for the first second I thought that the wintermute Army was hacking our page.

Then I realised about the day and I decided to complain about the skin of the webpage to have some lauhgs.

Was sceptical due to the april fools date... Then I went to check out the WME site and founf no mention of it... Thats when I knew nothing.

Rather dissapointed cause drug bust fighting looked awesome!

Well I preffer AGS instead of the WMGS... would just be wrong!
