New York screws me!
I recently got in the mail a bill from the state of NY. Its a fine for failure to pay a toll. the toll was like 6 bucks and a fine of 30 dollars on top of that.

I belive I can recall the time when it may have happened. m0ds and I were in my car and we came to one toll, and it appeared broken, or free, so after a line of cars behind me started honking, I gave in and drove off.

NY city one, Homer zero...
- Oh great, I'm stuck in colonial times, tentacles are taking over the world, and now the toilets backing up.
- No, I mean it's really STUCK. Like adventure-game stuck.

Typical New York State trying to screw everybody out of their hard earned money.Ã,  It's now even worse that they are trying to get money out of people who don't live in New York. WTF is that.

Scummbuddy, on behalf of New York State. I'm sorry.

:)

I just got the same letter, Scummy.  I remember that toll booth exactly, as I was staring at the darn thing for a few minutes trying to find a slot to put in my money.  I also thought it was broken, and I drove on through.  Odd that they sent us that letter nearly four months after the fact.  I'm sure that toll booth is now repaired and looks all nice and sparkly and we can't contest it.   Oh well.

Pumaman

Yeah, I remember that too. It had a sign saying something like "if you're paying in cash, drive on" which we did, and then never had to pay.

Bad luck guys, I'll pay my share of the fine at the next mittens :)

Speaking of mittens, whatever happened to our live GTD discussion?  ;)

Andail

I remember the exact occasion as well. You should try to appeal. If you're two different cases, it's bound to have a deeper impact.

Also, you should try to find out who squealed on you. The informer must be one of your fellow AGS:ers.

Like...AGA.

Grundislav

I remember it too! More defense for your case.Ã,

Now, does this mean that the state of New York is in possession of photographic evidence of all the Mitteneers cramped into the 8 passenger van?

Someone must break into the archives and retrieve it, for the good of mankind!

AGA

You can't prove anything! ¬_¬

Phew...

Ten pages of reading....

I honestly must go to one of these, maybe someone could host it in London our around there? Ã, ;D

Pumaman

Bah, London was sooo 2002   :P

However, there may well be one of these again next year.

MrColossal

ha ha yes very funny, traffic fines...

NOW PAY UP!! We need that money!

The state of New York has a smack habit and it needs 60 bucks to quench the thirst!
"This must be a good time to live in, since Eric bothers to stay here at all"-CJ also: ACHTUNG FRANZ!

Layabout

i would host it in london if i still was living there!!! GTD in person is a good idea... lets more ideas spring to mind randomly as opposed to thinking about it all... i guess we will have to wait for the next brittens...

This would have never happened if it was hosted right here in the dirty northern western south.

Scumm, where's the video of our live GTD?  The world needs to see it!  The human race hangs in the balance!

LOL, Netmonkey - your comment; "The Brits were so excited about being in the United States and having Dollars that they bought a bunch of candy and snacks. They left everything behind for MrColossal and Jess to eat! We found more food after taking the picture." and the corresponding picture cracked me up all night. I wondered on the plane what had happened to all that stuff I'd bought like M&M's, lol, I needed them for that flight because I knew I wasn't going to enjoy the on-board meal so much! LOL, there's my M&M's behind the Tetley!!
