Changed it, but please do me one favour AGA and let's not mention that one again...
Taking a screenshot was kind of a traumatic experience...

Thanks, Arj0n.

GameMcSherlock found another one in the archived data:

Everlight Forest Demo    - game's entry in the database  [It's a an installer version, setup.exe file]

Also, another double entry:
SWEE NIGHTMARE by John Scott [27 Sept. 2011] (had game-breaking bug/ see comment)
Sweet_Nightmare by John Phillip Scott [1 Oct. 2011] (seems to have been the updated version)
Both lost for now though.

So this seems to be the right place to suggest allowing gameauthors more images per game. Something like this:

I hope the image is self explanatory. When there is one/no image the thumbs below just wouldn't show up, if there are only 2 images only 2 thumbs show up, no empty placeholder. dunno if centered and in the same size of the 3 thumbs or bigger to align to the div width is better. bigger images means bigger filesize on the server, other than that it could become clunky with bigger pics.
And allowing the author(s) to upload even the minithumbnails for the according screenshot could lead to better imagequality in these small images. If the feature is not used just automate the thumnailcreationshrinkingmechanism. So.... maybe having the thumbs (for 2 images for one game) in one fixed size is better as when a game has 3 screens and the minithumbs are created and then after some time the author decides to delete one of the screenshots the minithumbs are in the really small size already and automatically resizing them would surely look crappy.

AGA

That'll take a bit of work, selmiak, but I'll give it a go when I get the chance.

selmiak

cool, no hurries, seems like there is no immediate demand, I just wanted to get this out there :)
Seems to be quite modern and convenient for game authors. and I'll give feedback once you get to it :D

Tramponline

Found two more:

AGS Background Editor v1.4 by Erica McLane

Cacho Quest by Mariano Cirigliano (only in Spanish - I think?)

And there're still these two entries that need to be merged, AGA?

I uploaded all those games to a Mediafire account (free user).
Still wondering if anyone else wants to download and store all these lost games, until Peder is ready and it's possible to upload them to AGSarchives.com. (Preferably someone who'll have admin access to Peder's archives?)

arj0n

I do download them so i can add them to my Collection. Just in case.

AGA

"Invalid or Deleted File." for Sweet Nightmare...  I combined the two entries though.  Wanted to update the image too, but as I say, I couldn't download it.

I second this. A lot. Yes, we all judge games by their screenshots. And often 1 screenshot is insufficient to judge. Or the 1 screenshot present isn't an ideal screenshot.

AGA

Whoops, seems access was set to only specific people.  Should be open now.

There will be up to three screenshots soon.

Nice enhancement!

AGA

That does of course mean we (you) could spend another few weeks replaying all the games to take another two screenshots.  Or maybe not.

I *might* be of help here indeed  ;)

(Which would be easy since I got them all stored on my HD, so don't need to download them first)

AGA

So I tried rewriting the image uploading script, and it kinda broke.  I'm too tired to think of how to fix it properly atm, so it won't be working until tomorrow at the earliest.  Sorry!

Relight

I didn't look around too much more for a thread where I should be mentioning this, I hope you don't mind if I mention some ideas / suggestions here that shouldn't be too hard...

1) When you search, and there are multiple pages, clicking any of the "Next Page" / "2" links goes to:
    http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/site/games/namesearch/2/name/
    And it says "Invalid search!"

2) Anytime there's a list of games (ie list of search results), the title of each entry is "Game Name (link) by Author". Could Author also be made a link? I think that's useful as a fast way to go to all of an author's games.

3) When a screenshot is < 640x480, could you zoom it x2 when you click on it (from both the list of games, as well as the individual game page)? You click on it, and it's the same size or even appears slightly smaller. IMHO this would be hugely useful.

4) Games with unknown release date appear as "unknown" in the game list but they appear as "1 Jan 1970" on the individual game page. (By the way - couldn't many games, especially those in zip archives, be approximate dated by the last modified date stamp of the files?)

I think that's all I got for you for now. Great job guys!

AGA

Search is mildly broken.  It will be fixed eventually.

Zooming up screenshots is tricky.  They're scaled down to 320x200 in the page, and are shown at full size (which is often... 320x200) when you click on them.  However, scaling up is quite difficult to do reliably across the various browsers; each of the major browsers handles pixel art scaling differently, and choosing the correct one is awkward.  I will see what I can do, but I'm not promising anything.

2) and 4) I can probably do quickly tomorrow.
