Off-topic but sort-of-related - that guy reminds me of someone. Your artist has been playing a lot of CMI, ain't he? ;D

If the game takes place in ancient Greece, it might help if you gave the characters Greek names instead of Latin ones. Just a thought.

Not really... I'm Greek ;) They are rather latinised...

apart from that, if I'm not mistaken it's medussa, and not madusa, and it's minautor, and not minator... Unless you're going for a new creature with resemblence to the known ones...

How many greeks will it take posting in this thread to tell you otherwise until you accept the names aren't greek?

Will there be a character called Victor too? (Could not resist!)

Ali

There seems to be a few details missing from the plot summary:

QuoteThe unitÃ,  detroyed the village and all the inhabitants except for two boys, Sylim and Victor his best friend.

What about Sylim's so called mother?

QuoteWhen finally out Sylim see's his so called mother who tells him about his past

Why would a raid on the village prompt her to tell him about his parentage? Is she dying?

QuoteSylim is devistated and dedicates his life to joining the army to avenge his parents

Surely he can only avenge one of his adopted parents. Unless his mother did die.

Other than that, it sounds like a lot of fun!

I'm sorry if you think they sound Latin but belive me they are Greek.

You can google them if you want. Victor is a Latin word meaning winner (from the verb "vincere" meaning to win); it's an unlikely name since the Romans used only very few first names and this wasn't one of them. Sylim sounds Arabic or Turkish to me. Sipcellus sounds like you made it up, but "-us" is a Latin suffix rather than a Greek one.

Wait wait, there really IS a character in this game called Victor? I was just joking 'cos it's latin and also the name of a member here. I didnt read the bit where it's a character in it...

EDIT: What is the name of this book?

It occurs to me that the name Victor for example, was latin in origin, but since then is used in other countries. (ie the british TV character 'Victor Meldrew')

So is this a MODERN book of greek names or what?

Kweepa

This has to be a joke.
The guy shows up, blatantly ignores the recruit a team thread, cross posts (here and dead-code) about a Wintermute game, and insists to our esteemed Greeks that Victor and Sipcellus are Greek names.
Wow. Nice one, DG. I salute you. You have outdone yourself.
