Hey everyone.

I was just if there was any AGS Dr Who games at all?   ???

I know Skerrigan made a very short 'Chapter 0' intro a couple of years ago.  The intro is impressive, but I was looking for full games.

If not AGS, is there ANY freeware Dr Who games around?

Thanks.

Galen

I seem to recall at least two. One was the prologue for a larger game and another a retro one.
The threads must have gone out of date.

Frodo

This retro one - was it a full complete game, or a Work In Progress?   8)

Time Snare demo is awesome!  I really hope Duckbutcher finishes it someday.

I would love to see a completed Dr Who game.   :)

It looks like Cirius has left the AGS forums, and I think Skerrigan and Duckbutcher have lost interest in AGS and/or Doctor Who.

I'd love to do an AGS-based "Doctor Who" game, but I find my lack of AGS knowledge (and my non-existent artistic ability) rather scupper that idea.

Seems I'm out of luck then.   :(

Oh well, thanks everyone.   :)

Looks that way, AGS-wise. Dunno about other systems/platforms though - if you're on Gallifrey Base, asking a more general question along those lines might produce results.

One of them is still available, Skerrigan's Episode 0 demo - http://dump.myxcp.net/mirror/skerrigan.co.uk/doctorwho.zip

In fact, I'd be interested in doing a "Doctor Who" game - whilst I may not know much about AGS, the language is pretty obviously a C-derivative, and I know C/C++ quite well, so it'd mostly be an API and quirks-learning exercise. My lack of graphical/artistic ability, however, would be significantly more problematic.

We NEED a Dr Who game here.   8)

Dr Who is actually perfect for an adventure game since the doctor is all about logic and reason over brute force.

I would happily lend any of my meagre skills to the creation of a Dr W game.

Meagre my arse.

I'd be up for it if you are, that'd make two of us. But we'd need at least one artist I guess - I can't draw to save my life.

Dualnames

I was actually making a Dr Who based game along with a Red Dwarf but stopped them both. The second one being one of my favorite shows of all time, but I knew i couldn't quite just you know get the humor, so I halted, because it ended up rather dull and worthless (also glad someone took over!!). The second is always on my mind, but hell, I haven't quite even finished HHGTG...
Worked on Strangeland, Primordia, Hob's Barrow, The Cat Lady, Mage's Initiation, Until I Have You, Downfall, Hunie Pop, and every game in the Wadjet Eye Games catalogue (porting)

Time Snare was an excellent game! Quite a bit of it got finished...

If I was into Dr Who I would offer to help out with a project but I just don't know enough about the show, old or new.

I don't think you'd need to know that much; just being able to help would be a good thing.

Not sure why I didn't reply to this earlier, what with my deep deep adoration for Doctor Who (which I will not extoll at this venture....just because).

That said, I would gladly offer to help out with things...it'd partly depend on the Doctor being used for it, but heck, nobody ever said multiple Doctors were out of the question.  Happens almost all the time. :)

Allons-y!

That would be much appreciated I think. Nothing's concrete though, but that can be sorted soon enough!

Tom Baker was always my favourite.   ;D  But all of them are good.
