AGS Launch Panel

When you have a lot of AGS games, creating shortcuts for all of them is a pain. Not any more. Add the parent folder of your AGS games to the launch panel, and it will provide you with shortcuts to each one.

There are still a few things I want to add to this before I consider it a v1.0, like threaded scanning and hooking into the USN journal so that it automatically detects new games added, but at the moment it should be able to do what it was designed for.

This is cool. Please add drag + drop support for adding and a general setup.exe config (with still the possibility for individual settings) and this is ace!

What happens when the panel is completely filled with games?

Thanks, I'll add those items to the to-do list. Would drag-drop really be needed though if it can detect changes in the folders and automatically add new games?

The form can be resized and maximised, but when it's full it will only show the first page. Scrolling was baked in from the start but it caused some unexpected issues so I disabled it for now.

Then I thought that pages might be a better option than scrolling, but I'll see. Another thing I want to add is sorting: By name, added time, etc. Currently it just outputs in forlder order.

I'm at work (can't DL/try it here) but I have some questions/suggestions.

Can you customize the names (and icons) or is it just what comes from the folder? It would be cool to be able to customize them as you want!

Can you select the layout or is like iOS where it's auto-placed and you can't change it?

Ok, added back and fixed the scrolling. I also made it save the window size, so that it is restored when loaded.

The names and icons are extracted from the extended file details of the exe (you can see these in the details pane of the file properties). In older AGS games that data was not useful, so in that case it uses the folder name, which in most cases is more descriptive than the exe name.

Yes exactly! So you can drag the icons (within a fixed grid layout) to any location/order you want. So you don't necessarily have to have them all in one area either.
