If and when I get better with this software...

I noticed the ratings system concerning language, nudity/sex, and violence for these games.

For my games... the nudity in them (if any) will be undetailed tasteful nudity (UTN for short). As they say in Monty Python, "no naughty bits". It'll be no worse than, say, Princess Sally (from Sonic) minus vest and boots. Or with humans, no worse than mannequins without clothes. That's as far as I go with nudity.

If there are any sexual scenes in my games (if and when I get better with AGS), they will only be between a husband/wife pair, and ONLY under such circumstances (heterosexuality is a given). But this too would be UTN.

I just want to say this up front, so others can know that at least I have SOME restraint in the material in my ideas.

Agree with Domithan that no-one should be at all offended (and anyone who would can choose to heed a 'mild nudity' warning).

As a side note, don't you think it's a little homophobic to suggest that 'UTS' between effectively two Ken dolls is somehow less acceptable than 'UTS' when one of them is a Barbie? The keyword is tasteful, and if you adhere to that you should pretty much be in the clear either way.

After all, the puppet sex scene in Team America has a man and a woman with no genitalia yet it's still [comically] graphic and full-frontal.

II. What's the deal with the heteronormativity, man? You can do tasteful, artistic shagging without limiting it to consensual sex between a married man and woman in the missionary position for the purposes of reproduction.
C. When you say "with humans," are you implying that these sexual interactions will not take place between humans? If so, then that may be your limiting factor on how seriously people take it rather than the level of nudity, and I'll leave it at that.

Instead of utilizing Barbie anatomy, you should instead just frame the shots in such a way so the audience understands what's going on without seeing the swimsuit area while not making them wonder what the crap happened to the characters' genitals and how they can manage to swap fluids or how they go to the bathroom or stuff
101: The best Monty Python movie, Life of Brian, showed naughty bits and was better for it. Consider adding something to your game that will illicit a reaction as satisfying as "huh, I've just seen Graham Chapman's willy."
Last: You say this post is your "restraint," but in the end, you should really be able to use your own judgement in matters of taste. I mean, it is nice that want to keep it classy but judging from your post, you don't seem like you'd accidentally include hardcore, cock-filled, piss-covered, upside-down buggery without making this post to keep yourself in check. I mean it already sounds more tasteful than anything Oceanspirit Dennis has ever been in.

Just to let you know for future reference, if I at some point make a game with swear words, I will restrict myself to moderately offensive vocabulary (MOV). If you think I'm planning to write something like Mamet or Tarantino, absolutely not! My MOV will not be any worse than, for example, a Norm MacDonald stand-up show. That's as far as I go with swearing.

And of course, only sexual/genital references and ethnic slurs, no blasphemy or excretionary terms!

So... keep that in mind.

Hang on folks, I think I see what's happened here. DBoy's previous posts were requests for people to draw his character animations for him. I think someone did.
DBoy isn't so much nailing his moral credentials to the mast (although he's doing that as well) he's leaving instructions for creative types as to how they should work, or not work, for him.
It's good to have clear specifications when working to order!

A fair enough statement. If and when I decide I don't like the material of any given game, I simply choose not to play it. I think it would be wrong of me to not respect the game maker's choice in making whatever he or she wants to make.
