I had to get a few parts to get my computer done and here they are moving out of town .
They had some box's sitting there with a few games so ask them what they were going to do with the games .
Toss them he says  . Shit  I'll take them .
Got a new in the box not open Police Quest 3 from Sierra and Quest for Glory 3 brand new and not open .
And some other games I have not heard of .

I would have stockpiled the games and eBayed them as lots or something.

Nice find, anyways though, and you can't beat the price.Ã,  ;)

Your story reminds me of the time I practically knocked over my girlfriend at a local thrift store because I saw a boxed copy of Secret of Monkey Island behind her.
I don't know what she was doing between me and my third copy of SMI, but she didnt last long in the way.  ;D
- Oh great, I'm stuck in colonial times, tentacles are taking over the world, and now the toilets backing up.
- No, I mean it's really STUCK. Like adventure-game stuck.

Thats's really cool. How come i never have such luck? (getting free games)

It's always nice to really find a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, isn't it?  :)

I bought The Curse of Monkey Island from a local game store, a few years back.  There was Grim Fandango as well, I really wish I had gotten it.

Mr Flibble

I remember one night my Dad came home with The Monkey Island Bounty Pack. I'd seen it on eBay but he went out and found one in a store.
It was in that big kickass box that was really quite big.
Ah! There is no emoticon for what I'm feeling!

I found CMI back in 2000 at a Media Play (US) for like $10 on the bargain game rack. I grabbed that sucker right away. I'm glad i did, and you can't beat that price unless you get it new for free.

Anyone want to make me a kick ass GUI for my game and you can have your pick what game you want  and I'll pay to ship it to you too .

LGM

I don't have any of the MI games anymore :(

I once found a penny, but the damned tramp got to it first.... darn my luck.

Quite a nice little story and an amazing find for the price ;)

Honestly though the best thing I've come accross is are two free laptops. One was free because it is like a Pentium 1, 60mhz with like 2 mb ram, and the battery slides out while in use.

The other one is about a 600mhz Sony Vaio running Windows 98. It's good enough plus it has a DVD player, so again I'm not going to complain about the price :D
When I was a little kid we had a sand box. It was a quicksand box. I was an only child... eventually.

magintz:  Yeah, I like to race people in wheelchairs to the handicap bathroom stall.  It's an every-man-for-himself world!  ;D

Charity shops are GREAT places to find hidden gems. I'm always on the look out for Gabriel Knight 2.
My new college is right next to a whole bunch of charity shops. I can't wait to dig my filthy little fingers into their stock.
