Many options:
1. Burn it to a CD and use it to install.

The problem may be that there is another incompatible copy of the DLL in your windows directory or DLL search path. Try searching the whoel computer for the file and see if it is somewhere liek that.

Ok Dan, this is a complete and total crapshoot... but here we go

AGS Creditz 2.0

Now this is agsCreditz2.dll, so throw it in there with the exe and rename it to agsCreditz.dll and see if it works for you...

Hopefully the difference between v2 and v1 was just things were added, and nothing was changed...

2 is about a complete rewrite, if I remember correctly. So it won't.

Try getting the AGS version the game was compiled with (it should appear somewhere, either in the exe details or the setup or somewhere), then renaming the Fatman exe to ac2game.ags, placing ACWIN.EXE from the AGS zip in the same directory and running it. And before doing that, re-unzip all the stuff from the whatever you got the game from, to get the versions of everything included with the game. Additionally, grab the other DLLs that come with the AGS version and stick them in that directory.

Or what if I pretend to hold you but let go at the last moment?

Yes, Alynn, that was a crapshot as I stated earlier that agsCreditz.dll v2 doesn't work. It requires a newer interface for the AGS with which the game was compiled. Apparently, v1 was detected, but it requires v12.

Ishmael, you're sugesting I run the game with AGS itself. Fine, what the freak? We'll try the holding stuff later.

It does sound like you've got some spyware or virus that is not letting your computer access DLLs properly, if no versions of the DLL seem to work. Try scanning for those things and see what comes up.

If you've never scanned for viruses/spyware...therein may lie your problem.
